Same here. I didn't have any problems with his jokes. And hey - if the people who asked him to host the show didn't like him - why did they hire him? :clueless:

I've seen some of Extras when it aired here on HBO. I'll probably rent the whole series from Netflix sometime.

It's a coming of age story. You should definately check it out. I went to (and now work at) the same school he went to as a kid. Extras is also a great show you should see of his, if you havn't seen it already.

Nope. But I'll keep an eye out for it. I really enjoy the hell out of his movies. I think Ghost Town is brilliant and I loved a lot of The Invention Of Lying. I love the animated show. You know our member, here Rick Hinson (Editsound) is the sound designer on that show.

I know it's going off topic, but have you seen Cemetery Junction Deb? Ricky directed and wrote it, as well as had a small part. It's a good film, set in his (and mine) hometown during the 70's.

What did you guys think of Ricky Gervais as the host of the Globes? I personally enjoyed near the edge jokes, but I know he's not everyones tastes.

Well, I have never watched Sons of Anarchy and I grew up watching her as Peggy Bundy, so I guess that will never change, sorry. LOL

Hahaha I still see her as Peggy too! I cant help it! Like when she was playing the mum in 8 rules or whatever it was called and even as the voice of Lela in Futurama...

I actually watched this one live. Yeah, at 2am in the morning. But it was a great show. I was like "I want Colin Firth to win Best Actor." and just a second later he did! Woohoo! LOL
And when Katey Sagal won, I was like, "Wait, Peggy Bundy won for Drama? LOL"

I know. she did a great job. cool to see Joe so proud Glad Colin Firth won best actor for The King's Speech. Always been one of my favorites. Excited for all the Glee winners too, even though I never really watched the show before I like what it stands for.
