Stand By Me is one of my favorite Stephen King adaptations too.  I of course love Misery and The Shining.  But I haven't read either book yet.

The real movie title of that novella is Stand By Me, the best Stephen King movie in my opinion. I also love The Langoliers, IT, and The Stand. My mom has read The Stand. Come on down and cast The Stand...]]> https://forum.chris-marquette.com/viewtopic.php?pid=62620#p62620 Unless you're a really fast reader, The Stand just by itself might take all summer.  It's so loooooong.  And I only read the 800+ page version, not the one that's over a thousand pages.  One of these days, I'm gonna tackle the longer version.  I'm just such a slow reader because the only time I have for books is lunch and when I'm stuck waiting somewhere.  And lately, because I'm broke, I've been brown-bagging it and eating at my desk.  So I end up playing on the Internet instead of reading whatever book I'm in the middle of.  Sad.

I loved his short stories in Different Seasons.  My brother has a book club, they just read Cujo and his fiance was balling at the end of the book.  So between that, Misery, and the Stand, I think I'll have a busy summer.
