We didn't do anything for the birthday this year.  We've kind last touch with him lately, he's been so busy.  I've been thinking it's about time to reach out to him again now that he has a ton of stuff to talk about.  We kind of thought he wasn't communicating much for a while there because maybe it bummed him out to not be working.  I think things are about to pick back up for him and for us.

Truth be told, we got a little frustrated because he didn't thank us or even acknowledge our last birthday present despite us politely asking whether he'd received it. Or was it our last two? I might be that he felt too self-conscious about it, but it's not like we're random people he's never met, you know? I don't think we're planning anything for this year, unless someone has a super cool idea and volunteers to get all of that organized.

Offtopic: did you guys do a 2012 BDay gift for Chris? I went through the posts of the previous ones and you guys are so creative. Wish I had been a part of the board back then. I esp. love the writing book you guys made for Chris. I know I would have cried if someone had given me something like that. I just wanted to ask about last years and let you guys know I think it is pretty special how you guys are with Chris. Hopefully I can be a part of the 2013 BDay present :-)
