God, this movie is phenomenal. First I saw it in theaters and then I got it on DVD and watched it for the second (third, fourth, and so on) time it just hit me harder. It's one movie that I can't automatically go back to my normal life after watching.

I'm glad you finally got around to seeing Into The Wild, Maria. I agree with you about Emile. He's definitely great eyecandy.

Your mancandy comment made me smile. I don't find Emile all that attractive, but I also thought he did an amazing job in the movie. And I agree, the scenery was fantastic.

Huh. Had to look through five pages before I found this thread. I was just about to give up and make a new one..

I just saw this movie this morning. I've had it for about a week or two, not quite feeling like watching something that sounded a bit dark. This morning I felt as if I wanna see some movie and this one was yet to be seen so; on it went. And I loved it. Even if it was very long. I think it would have sucked if they'd tried to make it shorter. But the sceenery was awesome; both the nature and mancandy! :drool: I haven't had any crushes on Emile before. Now I have to say he looked very good -in the face anyway; of course I'm not a fan of selfstarvation. And did very good! Wow, amazing job! I'm amazed if he didn't get any awards for this.

As what comes to Christopher McCanddless' story; I got interested to find out more. So I went to the official site at http://www.intothewild.com/ (where, by the way, you can watch a clip of Kristen Steward singing) and there was some more info. The author had written down a little something too and linked an article that he wrote in the 90's: http://outside.away.com/outside/feature … ild_1.html. Got to know some more about this Chris. Sounds like an amazing guy and many people must be missing him crazy.

It's in the theaters here now. But it's not showing at the English one, that sucks, so I have to catch the German version. But I'll rent it on DVD to see the English version, too.

I want to see Be Kind Rewind as well, Anne. It didn't stay in theatres long where I live though and it got really bad reviews. I still want to see it though because it looks funny and Jack Black is awesome!

My next project is that new movie with Jack Black and Mos Def, "Be Kind Rewind". I saw the trailer when we watched Juno. It looks funny.

I planned to see this at the theater, but then it didn't work out for me, so I am going to wait until the DVD is out here.

I thought it was really good... just very graphic. I feel bad for Emile, that role must have exhausted him.
