I watched this and Hancock this weekend.

I really liked both of them.

I know I may be in the minority, but I liked both of these more than The Dark Knight. RDJ was very good, as was Jeff Bridges. Terrific visual effects, and great action sequences.

As for Hancock, like I said I also liked it too. It begins a little weird with Hancock being drunk and all, but once he actually starts being a 'hero' it gets really good. Again, terrific visual effects, perhaps better than in Iron Man. Will Smith is very good. The surprise for me was how good Jason Bateman was. Last thing I ever saw him in was The Hogan Family, so it's been a while. Nope never watched Arrested Development. I didn't mind the twist between Hancock and Bateman's wife.

I saw this one. My partner is a big comic fan, especially Marvels. And since I myself am pretty much into hero-stories, I like the movies too. This was a great one. I didn't know anything about Ironman before I saw so it was all just a great story for me, I had no knowledge of spoilers at all.

Hey guys. I wanted to chime in on Iron Man real quick.
I'm a big comic book nerd, but only a casual fan of the Iron Man comics. I've always thought he was an intriguing character, had some cool costumes, and he's one of the legendary Marvel superheroes.(Been around since 1963)--but I never really got "Hooked" on his books-He's a solid character in the Marvel universe, but never quite caught on like Spiderman and the X-Men did. That being said, I took Jacen to see Iron Man saturday night, and Iron Man is officially The Man! It's easy for a viewer who knows nothing about Tony Stark/Iron Man, to jump right in and understand what is going on. As a casual fan of the comic, I knew quite a bit about Stark and his company as well as knowing who the side-characters were and I was blown away by their performances. Paltrow, (who in my opinion would seem out of element in a superhero movie) nailed Pepper Potts! Jeff Bridges is almost unrecognizable playing Obadiah Stane. I could hear people in the audience next to me asking, "Who is that guy'? Tony's buddy, Jim Rhodes played by Terrance Howard was equally magnificant. and of course, how can we forget Downey who was perfectly cast to play Tony Stark? Can you believe that Cruise was actually in the running for Stark a few years ago? Screw that. Robert Downey Jr was awesome as the genius, womanizing billionaire. That's exactly how he is in the comics and RDJ brought Stark to life. (Look for a Tony Stark cameo in The Incredible Hulk) There is a great nod to Rhodes and how he later becomes the War Machine (in the comics) as he looks at the silver armor Iron Man donned earlier in the movie. Stan Lee has a great cameo too as Stark refers to him as "Hef"..and the scene after the credits made me geek out and yell the name of the character who made their on-screen debut.
I can't immediately say if this is the best comic book/movie adaption ever, and honestly, that doesn't really matter to me--all I can say is that they did a spectacular job on this movie and I'll be eagarly awaiting a sequel. Lots of action, great humor & one-liners, and superb acting. Go see it!

My favorite one-liner: Hot Woman at benefit party, "Hey Tony, remember me?"
Tony Stark, matter-of-factly "Sure Don't!" LOL.
(You'll get it once you see the film)

Ten. I don't know how it could've been any better. But then, I'm not a fan of the comics, so I'm only judging from a pure entertainment perspective. It's the most fun I've had in a theater so far this year. It's not just some forgettable popcorn movie either. It's hauntingly moral. And Robert Downey, Jr. is fantastic. I'd really like to see it again soon, if movies weren't so expensive.
