Yeah, she did the right thing. And it's good to see Andy adjusted so well. Too bad so many of the others obviously haven't, they're either too attached to humans or scared of them, like that little one (Jack?) wouldn't let go of David Muir's finger. It was sweet and heartbreaking at the same time. I'm really worried about Jesse though, when (not if) her "parents" need to give her up, she won't be able to function by herself for a long time. The woman who adopted her was really just greedy, she wanted another kid but "didn't want to go through the pre-teen/teen years again".

I agree. There's a fundamental disconnect there. These people just don't see it that way. What I liked about the lady with Andy was that she educated herself about all this stuff and realized what she had done was wrong and did everything she could to make it right by getting Andy into that sanctuary and supporting it with hefty donations. I liked when she went to visit him that she didn't want to hold him because she wanted him to learn to be a monkey again.

They might not have looked like gorillas because they were still so small, but they were definitely apes. Thing is, apes are not monkeys, they're close but it's like calling a lion a house cat. Would you welcome a lion cub into your house, knowing what it's gonna turn into? Sure, it's cute now, but in a few years...

When people get monkeys, they don't think about how they're gonna grow up. They focus on how cute and cuddly they are now and not the fact that they can kill humans so easily. Just like that lady with the monkey named Andy, if they feel threatened in any way they're gonna attack. And sometimes go for the kill.

I really felt bad for all those monkeys, especially the ones at the sanctuary. I mean, cutting off their fingers and pulling their teeth out? I can kinda understand people pulling their teeth is just a safety precaution, but their teeth are that sharp for a reason. They're not meant to be house pets, they're wild animals.

Sorry for the rant, I just can't understand the appeal of forcing a wild animal into a habitat where they obviously can't function.

Gorillas? Really? I missed that. Damn. The rest of those monkey moms and dads are sane by comparison to anyone who'd buy a baby gorilla. Get a dog people! Or a cat, if you must.

I'm watching it now, some people at that Primate Picnic or whatever it's called had baby Gorillas. Do these people realize Gorillas grow up and get big? Really, really big.
