I can't find the first half of the first season of wiseguy (Netflix seems to have lost that set of dvds)  Can you start the series part way through and still enjoy and follow it?

Grey's: That has to be . But I also like Cristina a lot, although she's so NOT me. And of course I'm a Meredith/McDreamy shipper, but I got mad at Meredith at some point, so this is why I don't list her here.
Medium: Allison. And I love Bridget, her daughter. She's fun to watch. And of course I'm a Allison/Joe shipper
CSI:NY: Mac "Lieutennant(?) Dan" Taylor. He was the reason I started watching. And I'm a Lindsay/Danny shipper, too)
Numb3rs: Of course Charlie and Amita, but I also love Alan. He's a great Dad.
Cold Case: Lily Rush. Can't say why, but I like her.
Private Practice: I don't really have a favorite character or couple, but I love seeing "Amy" back on screen. LOL
Judging Amy: Definitely Maxine. She rocks. Liked Kyle too, though.
Roswell: I was a HUGE Max/Liz shipper, so they were my favorite characters, though I liked Michael and Maria too
Smallville: I used to watch that show but I got bored after Season 4 or so. I was a big Clark/Chloe shipper, at least at the beginning,
ER: Undecided. Probably Neela or Abby.
Lost: Also undecided. Haven't watched the show in a long time. Need to do that again. I guess in the beginning it was Sawyer, but not really as my "favorite", I just thought he was interesting.
WAT: Same as with Private Practice, I don't really have a favorite character or couple.
Star Trek Voyager: I loved Janeway because she was the female captain! And I liked Neelix because he was the most exotic one. LOL
Buffy/Angel: Undecided, too.
Life On Mars (The British Version): Sam, of course. No favorite couple.
House: House, of course.

Looking at my list, I seem to be drawn to dark characters, and lead characters in over their heads.

I loved Murder One but it's been ages since I saw it.  I did really dig the main guy on that show, the one played by Daniel Benzali.  But I always dig Stanley Tucci in anything.  Hey, did you watch Wiseguy?  Man, I loved that show.  Been thinking about it a lot lately.  Tucci had a great character in the arc about the "rag trade".

Let's start with past shows because they are the best shows. I will break each show's ships into three sections for clarity. R for Romantic, F for Friendship/Family, and C for Characters. Yes, I feel like being super organised tonight.
