they did the same with the actors, each of the former winners presented one of the nominees and de niro got to present sean penn.

I didn't see them announce the Best Actor, but with the Actress they brought out five previous winners to introduce the nominees. Maybe they did the same thing with the Actor.

I saw his speeches at both the Baftas and the Spirit Awards which were both hilarious. It's what i was anticipating the most before it started.

Dude, have you seen Mickey's speech at the Indie Spirit Awards? It was hysterically funny and foul-mouthed (in a good way).

I was expecting Mickey Rourke to win and was soo looking foward to his speech, so i was very surprised that Sean Penn one. I havn't seen Milk yet but his acting in the short clips i've seen is amazing, and he was my second choice to win after Rourke.

I loved Hugh Jackman presenting, especially his musical montage. The pineapple Express action films sketch was hilarious too.

They didn't realize they were spoiling the ending since it's a true story and most people know Harvey Milk was assassinated.

I'm watching some Oscar Highlights on TV right now. I bet it was fun to watch Hugh Jackman, and I am actually sorry for missing it, but well, I had to work today, so there was no way that I could have stayed up.
When I saw Twilight last week I saw the trailer for Milk and really really REALLY wanted to see it and now they just spoiled the ending for me. But well, I like that Sean Penn won, so I'm still gonna watch it. I also want to see The Reader but I am probably going to wait for the DVD. Don't know yet.

I had no doubts about Hugh. He has always been a song & dance man. It was kind of off-beat this year, a little edgy even. I liked that. The musical numbers were kinda weird, but a lot of fun. I especially like that number near the end of the show from Slumdog that won best song.

i actually like the oscars this year. hugh jackman was a nice surprise for me. he was funny and he can sing plus he is gorgeous. i like tina fay and steve martin, very funny. lots of funny jokes all night.
and i had my wish granted sean penn won yeyyyyyy!!!!!
