Well, the original is pretty gross.  I know people love it, but I think it's a terrible excuse for a movie.  And honestly, I wouldn't have the slightest interest in the new one if not for the cast, and most especially because I saw a trailer in which STC looked and acted so Adamy I just knew I'd have to see the damn thing.

I read very negative things about the remake, and, like I mentioned, I never actually saw the original, really, since I had to turn it off after the comment made by my sister's then beau. I found it quite seedy, in any case.

I just Netflixed "The Virgin Spring," the Ingmar Bergman film that originally "inspired" Wes Craven. Assuming that I actually watch The Virgin Spring, it will be the first Bergman film that I have ever seen ( ! )
