For Carol and anyone else who remembers the Jim Hutton Ellery Queen series, they are FINALLY putting it out on DVD this September, and they are including the pilot movie, which I saw once in 1975. So, I am really happy, I know what I'm asking for for christmas.

I like family guy,king of the hill,JONAS,trading spouses,south park,america's next top model,world's strictest parents,the simpsons,extreme makeover:home edition, and jon and Kate plus 8 (even though it isn't on anymore) I also like made,parental control,George lopez,say yes to the dress, cake boss, man versus food,and table for 12.

Yep, it's called The Royal Flying Doctor Service, or for short RFDS. They have bases in the different cities in the outback and I visited the one in Broken Hill when I was in Australia in '95. I think the show isn't only loosely based on the real RFDS, I was of the impression that it was authentic enough. Of course there was way more drama with character relationships on the TV show. And of course they usually only showed the medically "interesting" cases, and not how a bunch of farmers get treated for 'flu or tick bites. Kinda like with any medical show, really.

Looking at the show now, it seems so tacky, but, hey, it was the late '80s/early '90s. Shows were like that then.

Early Edition is one of my big loves. I even wrote a fair bit of fan fiction for it, back in the day. I've been waiting for CBS to release all four seasons on DVD. Season two came out recently, but I'd like to wait for a 4-season box, if that ever happens.

Flying Doctors? Sounds interesting! Early Edition was a great show! I remember watching that, My So Called Life and Touched By An Angel regularly during those days.

Hahaha yeah i do know the Flying Doctors...never actually really watched it though. But yeah with the outback being so vast there are actual doctors that have to be flown into the community, so it is vaguely based on truth with that. And TeeJay I totally forgot about Early Edition....I adored that show too!!

I have to say some of my favorites are Roswell, Supernatural, Vampire Diaries, 30 Rock, the Office use to be one of them (it's lost its touch for me...) Those are the ones I watch pretty regularly. I watch Castle too because I love Nathan Fillion and anything related to him or Joss Whedon!

Kate might know it. It's an Australian TV show from the 90's, and it's about the Royal Flying Doctor Service in Australia. Basically, it was a bunch of Ozzie doctors flying around the outback, taking care of medical problems, mixed with your usual relationship and drama stuff.

I was a huge fan as a teen. Even made my Australia trip in '95 with a friend a total Flying Doctors tour, kinda like what Deb, Anne and I did in LA last year. We met three of the actors and got to see all the old props at Crawford Studios (the show had already ended by the time we visited and everything was put away in a warehouse). This was before the times of the internet, so my friend and I were members of a Dutch fanclub for a while (there's wasn't any German one). It was real fun!

Obviously not a lot of classics among those. I've never watched a lot of TV when I was a kid, I got my first own TV when I was 17 or 18. And even then I didn't watch a lot of TV shows. I only really became a TV series "regular" in my mid- to late 20's. Hm... Now, is that a bad thing or not?
