Thanks, its not either of your faults though.
I've almost always been cheated on. I have even been accused of cheating except I never have and never will and only I know that for sure but its completely true.

T&E is such a sad episode.
My ex did that to me. Hes like Adam, I'm like Joan, and the girl he was with before me is like Bonnie.

Yeah, that's true. They even started the ball rolling in season 1 with Kevin doing the cheating thing. And we learn later that he had a history of that kind of thing. Even though I still haaaaaate the whole cheating with Bonnie s/l, I like all the subtext they gave it. They spent most of the second season trying to connect emotionally, and just missing every time.

Shadows & Light is also funny. The scene with Adam and Grace in the biology closet is one of the most classic moments in the entire series for me. He kinda runs the gamut of emotions in that ep. I also dearly love that scene in the hallway near the end when Joan is incredibly upset about what's happening to Stevie and he goes to comfort her.

Joan - "I thought you were mad at me."
Adam - "No, I don't really matter right now."

Now THAT'S my boy! Not that thing they turned him into.

I blame the not being able to overlook Hilary being Lizzie Maguire on babysitting my cousins who freaking loved that show and other Disney channel shows. Bleh.

You know, I remember getting the feeling that they were going to make one of them cheat the whole season when I first watched it. They had Joan suspect Adam was cheating with Judith, going to cheat with Stevie. Adam was jealous of Roger and rightly so because the perv kissed her. Then finally, Adam actually cheats with Bonnie. It's like they were testing the waters with false cheating storylines, even Will and Helen had one with Lucy, then decided to take it to the next level.

Exactly my thoughts! And because this didn't work they probably decided to ruin the show with that "event" in T&E ...

I didn't even know who the Duff sisters were until after they were on the show. Thus, to me, either just was "another actress". I didn't mind them, they played their characters well, though the thing with Adam and Stevie was a cheap ploy to make Joan jealous (and hopefully attract more viewers for better ratings).

I just watched Shadows and Light last night! It was indeed a heartbreaking episode and I forgot how good it was. It's been so long since I saw Joan of Arcadia that I almost forgot how most episodes ended. It's like watching it for the first time again. I forgot what happened to Stevie and how sad but then how beautiful it was. The scene between her and her mom at the police station was really well done.

I don't care if they are the Duff sisters or not. To me they're two minor characters in my fave show, no more, no less. I don't watch anything of their other stuff.

LOL! Never noticed the boy name thing. But I totally agree, I thought Haylie was really good as Stevie. I really adore the ep, Shadows & Light. So much great Chris in that one.

I liked Haylie better than Hilary. Not that Hilary did a bad job, she actually played the character rather well it's just that it was distracting that it was her. I kept thinking "Hey it's Lizzie Maguire" not "Hey, it's Dylan." I liked how in Joan of Arcadia, I looked at them as characters instead of actors.

Hey, another thing I noticed was that they were both given boy names. Stevie and Dylan. I wonder why that was?

It seemed to me more like one of the attempts at improving the ratings. Why they thought this would improve rating, I have no idea.

But that said, I actually thought they were pretty good, and I didn't mind them being there.
