Such arrogance on the part of the makers of this thing.  It disgusts me.  Consider it already boycotted in my house.

I'm with you on that Deb. Very upsetting and sad to read about.  :angry:

very nice! I like how she doesn't really change her style, she's just herself and sticks to it smile

very cool news. i was bored and on youtube and found this interview with Chris and Sam Huntington on fanboys.  It may have already been posted here but I wasn't sure so here's the link.  It's pretty good interview of Chris.

I think its on early release.  Sometimes we get those!  It is nice! smile  Hope you get to see it!

Just saw this movie. Loved it. Truly amazing what you can do facing insurmountable odds.

#939 Re: Chris On Screen » The Rite » 12 Nov 10 :: 08:24

lol It took me a while to figure that out  too once I was there.  Also figuring out that by just saying "Tech" they did not mean Texas Tech as I thought all freshman year, it was "louisiana Tech." I found that out at our first basketball game against them!  lol
New Orleans should be fun. I went to college in Shreveport and have some friends there that I might be able to get in touch with.  If not it won't be a big deal smile Nice to get a way for a while, even for training.  I hear even the training is helpful and not boring so that's good! You never know what to expect.

To get back on topic: excited about this movie opening soon. Still bumbed I could be there for the opening weekend.  Happy for Chris though! Do we have any stills yet? or have I just slipped over them?

#940 Re: Chris On Screen » Fanboys » 12 Nov 10 :: 08:18

Fun stuff! Jealous! tongue Wish I had a fanboys shirt!

#941 Re: Square Eyes » James Franco Appreciation Thread » 12 Nov 10 :: 08:17

My parents really enjoyed it.  They said they were able to sit through it.  For my parents thats a big deal.  A lot of people are leaving because it feels too claustrophobic to them.  I can't wait to see it.  Parents said it was really interesting.

Any body have any clue where Castiel character's is going to be in this season? I can't tell. He just suddenly reappered inthe past episode.  I feel like this season has a been a bit more strange than the last season.  I need to fit the pieces together better.

#944 Re: Chris On Screen » The Rite » 10 Nov 10 :: 07:04

Doesn't look like I'll be in L.A. afterall.  Anyways, the l.a. training was the week of the Rite opening.  Would have been cool to be there, and possibly see if time allowed for it.   but now I will be in New Orleans during mardis gras that will be crazy.  :angry:  I went to school in Louisiana. they shut down colleges for the week so there are gonna be a bunch of chaotic people there. At least it will be interesting to people watch from afar.

I'm curious to see this movie anyway. Exorcism of Emily Rose is actually a favorite of mine and it feels it will be similar to that one.

#945 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 10 Nov 10 :: 06:59

I'm so sorry. What a mess. I pray God's hands be upon the situation and that Kayla can be able to use this situation to help her sister in law in some weird way.  Messy, messy.  Facebook is easy but can create lots of havoc! BE CARFUL.

#946 Re: Square Eyes » Conan Returns and favorite late night talk show hosts » 10 Nov 10 :: 06:54

My brother bought me an album at Christmas last year. He hadn't even heard of them but he knew I like grass roots/alternative christian music and the album intrigued him because all the songs were titled after psalms but didn't sound like them.  I like them.  Good for car rides. I want to see them play, they come to dallas often.

Yes Conan is tall!  I really want his coffee mug, random I know.  I'd say besides him Fallon and Chelsea Lately are my other favorite late night hosts.  i admit I'm an e addict so I also like Joel McHale.

#947 Re: Square Eyes » James Franco Appreciation Thread » 10 Nov 10 :: 06:49

My parents got a special free screening to see this movie as apart of the Dallas Institute. I was not invited! sad Sad days! I'll be anxious to hear about their reports.

#948 Re: Square Eyes » Conan Returns and favorite late night talk show hosts » 10 Nov 10 :: 03:58

lol I remember him talking about that and I think he even filmed there once in Finland?  When he was in his old timeslot before he moved to Leno's? That's interesting he's the first American host there!

It's good to see him back!  This show seems more like what his old show was like.  He seems more laid back and actually seems like he's having more fun now!  At least that's what I think wink

#949 Re: Square Eyes » Misc Stuff » 09 Nov 10 :: 03:27

great! I've been wanting to see it.  I love Zach Galifanakis.

No, I think you made the right decision.  You'll enjoy it just as much on DVD.  It's fun and silly, but it's not nearly as good a movie as "The Social Network".

I agree, I love Scott Pilgrim, but visually and artistically the Social Network was worth seeing in the theater over pilgrim.  You'll be able to enjoy Scott Pilgrim the same on dvd as in theater:)

By the way, Just Me: I love your name in jello.  i'm going to do that with my kindergartners for letter recognition smile
