I don't think CBS bought a show about a woman struggling to recover from a stroke. They bought a long-running series about a woman with psychic powers who helps solve crimes. Yes, it's awkward that she's recovered in only 3 months, but this was a mess they got themselves into with a storyline that might've been the end of the series. Since it wasn't the end, they had to scramble to right the ship. It would've been much more realistic to at least drag it out for a at least a few episodes, but they have big plans for this season, they don't really have time. Next week is going to be intense and very disturbing. And then in a couple weeks, there's a big Halloween episode for the first time in the show's history.

Either this was a huge coincidence, or the person who wrote last Friday's episode was a Nickelback fan. If an episode is preempted, it basically means the episode was cancelled and will be shown next week, right? Or will they air it some other time? Looks like there was no ep last night, and I don't wanna miss it, whenever they air it.

ALL TV was pre-empted last night for the Hope For Haiti telethon. They wanted to make sure it was inescapable so it was on just about every channel. Even HBO. They will air last night's episode this coming Friday. They wouldn't just hold it for some other time because then the series wouldn't air in sequence.

Q: Now that you've had these amazing career experiences, does that raise the bar for you, as far as the types of projects you're interested in?
Joel: I've done a couple episodes of Medium as well, and I get the pleasure of working with Jake Weber, who is such an accomplished, talented actor. It's really fun. We honestly have a good time together. I play his boss on the show, so I really only work with him and I'm lucky because he's great. He's great to work off of. He's really very dedicated to his craft and wants to make sure that everything is right.
Look, I'm a character actor and the nice thing about being a character actor is that you can float around and do a bunch of stuff, and it never really hurts you. I can go from Dukes of Hazzard to Spiral, where I played the lead, to Art School Confidential, where I played a quirky character, to Grandma's Boy, where I played a ridiculous character, to Avatar. It lends itself to a lot of fun things. Character actors tend to work more. It doesn't matter how old I look.

Joel actually co-wrote and co-directed Spiral, I didn't realize that until I read the interview. And I still haven't seen it.

Yeah, the guy who plays his best friend in the movie is the other half of the team. It's a BIZARRE movie. While I was watching it, I couldn't even tell if I was enjoying it. But after it was over, I had real affection for it. Not something I could watch over and over and over again. But it's a pretty cool little flick.

Details are still sketchy, but it appears that Medium has been picked up for a 7th season and the poofy-haired hour-long lingerie ad has been canceled. Woohoo! I knew putting those shows back to back was going to expose GW as the craptastic fraud it has always been.

I'd like to thank Glenn Gordon Caron for casting Margaret Colin in tonight's ep. It was wonderful to see her. Been a while. I wish she could be the ADA next season and be an antagonist on a couple of cases, throw Allison's balance off. And now, as usual, I gotta go all brokeny recordy and say Brava! Sofia! That guy just can't keep his filthy mitts off the 8:00 p.m. Friday timeslot, no matter how much damages he causes. So sad! But they've really had a a nice run. I guess I'll just consider everything we got after they got Zuckered up until they were Les'ed to be a gift. What a great show it was, one of my all-time favorites.

Yeah, I think I'd be OK if they'd let them finish out the season with some of their dignity intact. They deserve that much. But they've pissed of GGC so badly, I think he's going to do something crazy. He said they're going to burn the place down. Whatever that means.
