Re: No bad guy ((spoiler if you havnt seen this episode in season 1))

I'm going to do one soon. I finally had the time to check if my new DVD player can also play the DVDs with the real TV episodes (which my parents's player couldn't do and Cooper only can with DivX Player) and it can! That's so great! Finally I can watch them on a decent screen again. Not that I minded watching them with Cooper, but with him I had to keep the DivX window small, otherwise the picture was too slow. But well, problem solved.

I think it is her real voice.  She talked like that on Huff too.

I get your point, for sure.  You wouldn't think that it'd be too comfortable to make fun of such a voice if the person can't help it.

I have nothing against the actress Misti Traya or her voice but she annoys me soo much as Iris on JOA.

Re: No bad guy ((spoiler if you havnt seen this episode in season 1))

Sorry for warming up this really old topic, but I watched No Bad Guy earlier today and it made me realize how much I LOVE the last scene of the episode ... I think that's really the most emotional, BEAUTIFUL "Two people telling each other they love each other" scene I've ever seen in a TV show (and I've seen a lot of those moments since I watch a lot of TV shows!). Really. I think I need to watch this more often. :embarrassed:

It is, Anne!  I get so pissed off when people say they did NOT tell each other they loved each other.  They most certainly damn-well did!  And it's perfect.  That's why I had to use it in the wedding chapter of Butterflies.

Wow, there are people who don't get that? yikes Do they know what love is? I mean, I understand it's a TV show and it's fake, but ... that doesn't change that it's a beautiful, well-acted emotional scene! It's PERFECT!!!

Re: No bad guy ((spoiler if you havnt seen this episode in season 1))

There are people who maintained through the whole series run that Joan never said "I love you" to Adam.  I call bullshit.  She said it a few times.  Not as many times as he said it to her, but still.  And when you argue that point, they say, "Well, she never told him that unless she was mad at him and using the words as an admonition."  Again, I call bullshit.  She said it giddily at the end of The Election when he comes to tell her he got the internship.  And she says it in Independence Day when she's feeling bad for turning him down when he wants them to have sex.  Just for a couple of examples.

Hey, I REMEMBER her saying it to him! It's ringing in my ears right now! How could I ever forget it! Besides if you want to say "I love you" to someone, you don't have to use those words each time. There are plenty of other words you can use, too. Those people are idiots who don't get the show. Period.

You are so right on, Anne. People cannot appreciate good, quality shows anymore. All of my favorite shows aren't even on the air anymore. Joa, Freaks And Geeks, My So Called Life, South Of Nowhere. My other favorite show lost all its original characters, Degrassi The Next Generation and hasnt been great since season 7.

By the way Joan Of Arcadia season 1 is at Big Lots for $6.
