Thanks. In September, I am now going to be a teaching assistand. Not a career choice i was planning but it would be ok for a year.

I really want to make this a good year for me. First thing i want to do is sort out my confidence, and hopefully then go into a career i've wanted my whole life; film.

The other day I was looking up movies Nick Cassavetes has done and came across this Disney channel movie called Just Like Dad I remember seeing when I was younger. Nick played a main character in the movie and I ordered it on dvd on amazon.

Hahaha ive done that ice bucket thing for physiology studies.....NOT FUN. It wasnt my hand though, my foot. And my foot stayed purple for like 5 minutes even after it was out of the ice water.

Dammit, I am hatin' life right now. I've never been so broke in all my years. Not only will I not be doing ANYTHING the next two weeks due to lack of funds, I am seriously in trouble if even the slightest emergency comes up. I'm floating utilities and not even able to buy my favorite soap and toothpaste. Guess I'll just be praying hard that I don't need any money for anything till August. This is terrifying and right now, I just wanna curl up in a ball and cry for like an hour.

Oh, I'm sorry about your situation, Deb. Sounds awful. My account is also on a "nice" round zero. I just back from a 10 day trip to Southern Finland to meet some family and it turned out to be the most expensive trip I've ever taken. I don't even know where all the money went. I didn't do a lot of shopping or anything like that. I still had almost 600 when I went there. Weird. Luckily hubby still has some of his paycheck left so we'll make it to next week... I guess I'll write more about the trip on Road tripping-thread.

When we got back home and the kids went to bed, 'hubby' proposed to me. I mean, we've been engaged since mothersday 2007 and we've lived together for years, but we never really thought about any wedding. Just that maybe "some day" when the time feels right. I was gonna ask him if we could pick a date and make it "the day" but he beat me to it. So August 2010, on the ten year anniversary of our first meeting (or first kiss, depends how we'll get the reservations) we're getting hitched. In city hall. We don't want a church wedding. We want it small and intimate. We both hate to be in the center of attention. Then maybe a small party for the closest family and friends the next day. Or we'll just have a few dinner parties with even smaller growds.
ps. i don't want my family to know about the wedding plans so please don't congratulate me on FB. By my family I mean my sisters. They'll tell mom and I really don't want her on my wedding ruining it all.

Oh yeah!!

Illinois is going to raise the license plate fee by $20 up to $98 a year.

Driver's License from $10 to $30.

Plus they want to raise fees/taxes on candy, bottled tea, shampoo, income tax and other things.

If you think those dogs look wrong check out these poor cats.

The disgusting part is that $15,000 to embarrass your cat and it has to be redone every three months.
