OK, so now we're back my boss not being able to afford me and I should update my resume. Last week and the week before we went through the following...

Sorry, you'll be out of a job after the end of September.
Geiger (our new "owners") might want to keep you.

Better update your resume.
I have someone lined-up who wants to interview you.
I want to keep you because I can't do this by myself.

So I went into my long weekend thinking I was OK. And now we're back to...

I don't know how I'm going to afford you, but I want to keep you, but you'd better update your resume, but I need you at least until mid-October.

Gee, wonder what it'll be tomorrow...

Also, I must note that today was Joe's last day at work. And you've never seen 5 grown-ups fight so hard for so long not to cry, only to all finally cave in and blubber. I already miss him and he's not leaving the country till next Tuesday...

Just got off the phone with my best friend, Steph. Her dad's in the same situation as Shell's mom was recently. Fluid in the lungs, heart shutting down. They're going to try a surgical procedure tomorrow that might keep his heart pumping a while longer, but he is not expected to live very long. They said he's already lived 8 months longer than expected. So sad. She's on her way home to Alabama tomorrow...

Deb, I would suggest updating your resume. And begin to quietly look around. And if any other opportunity shows up, grab it. No one needs that kind of crazy insecurity.

Deb I hope it all works out for you. Sounds like the company is equally unsure of their position as you are of yours though, so you probably wont get clarity until they do. Job uncertainty sounds horrible though, specially with the economy the way it is. I love how the politicians here have managed to spin it so that TECHNICALLY Australia avoided the recession. But its only politician speak and therefore absolute crap!

Hang in there studying Moon. I was begging for my study to be over, but now it is I miss uni SOOO much! Grass is greener and such....

LOL, yeah I'm at work.. doing over time tonight so I'm working 8pm-7am
But yes, I do live near work.. usualy its about a 15 min drive, but I've done
it in 7 min.. LOL
