Re: Randomness

Sorry Anne - that seems to be the word around the block - I think Christmas came up too quickly for people to get in the mood!

I woke up at 5:15 today as my body is adjusted to doing and couldn't fall back asleep.  I don't like doing that on breaks! smile

Re: Randomness

Not too cheerful around here this year.  Guess the economy is somewhat to blame. I certainly feel the crunch and am sort of just waiting for it to be over...

Re: Randomness

I'm in the same boat.  No money. Fortunately, Shell saved Christmas for the only people I have left to buy for, Dave & his family.

I think the reason here is more that this year's christmas marks the first anniversary of me being told about my mom's cancer ... she's through with it now, but it has still ruined christmas for me in a way.

No prayers needed as she is cancer-free now. But thanks anyway.

Re: Randomness

Hope everyone's having a good day.  I'm just chillin'.  Adding pics to the CM FB page.  For as long as my Internet connection allows it.  I keep losing it at night.  Gonna go swap out my modem with Charter tomorrow.  They tell me I need the newest one since I have a high speed connection.

Re: Randomness

Glad you are having a good day Deb!

Mine was decent this year!  Better than I anticipated.  We saw war horse - I wouldn't say that you have to rush out to go see it, but it was entertaining!

Anne - hope you were able to enjoy the day!  I understand how that memory could be attached to this day but we can always choose to make it mean something different too!  Rejoice that your mother is in good health smile

Happy Holidays everyone!

Re: Randomness

I'll try being a pescoterian at least until summer. animal fat is making me too sick anyways. thanks GERD.. and I really need to up my workout schedule. I've been slacking past couple of months. been too many good excuses like sickness and no time. yadayadayada. long story short I've been going from too little gym to too much gym like every other week and it's been actually gaining weight on me. sad I wanted to be better looking when I was starting a new decade..

Sounds like fun!  I have yet to decide what to do, but I will probably be doing the same thing....marathoning something!

Re: Randomness

Dave will be over, so I don't know what we'll watch.  But we're gonna make meatball subs and have champagne of course.  BTW, I taught myself about champagne a few years ago because I couldn't figure out why I liked some and hated others.  Well, there's more than one kind of champagne.  It you don't like the taste, stay away from Bruts and Extra Dry.  Get an Asti.  They're sweet and delicious.  Spend about $15 in your normal liquor store and you should be good to go.

Re: Randomness

May I also recommend Barefoot Bubbly Mocato Spumante?  I'm no expert but it's a big hit with the youngsters around here. Nothing worse than dry champagne for bringing on heartburn (GERD)! :crying:

Re: Randomness

sounds like a good idea.  Looks like I might be by myself, but that's okay I think....I think I'm going to marathon Lost.  I haven't watched it in a while!  Nice idea act the champagne.  I was just gonna get some wine and order a pizza!  maybe snuggle with my parent's dogs, that I call my dogs smile

Re: Randomness

I've spent New Year's alone.  Don't mind it at all.  It'll just be me, Dave, Bodhi & Dixie, meatball subs and Asti.

Re: Randomness

Hey....we've been marathoning Lost for a couple of weeks.  Kids are a little older now and wanted to know what it was so I've been watching it with them.  They would probably understand it better if they would quit asking me to explain it every two seconds and just listen to it.  Hee Hee.

Caught the Zooey and Joey thing yesterday morning...they are very cute....really enjoyed it.

We're just planning to do the normal play games, snack, and watch the ball drop....

Happy New Years!!!!
