Agreed. I <3 shopping for clothes. Thrift stores and garage sales might sound lame but they're usually great! I love Ross and Jeans Warehouse as well.  = D

Re: Randomness

I actually hate shopping.  I go as little as humanly possible.  I go to the store in the summer, buy 9 t-shirts, 8 pairs of jeans and a couple hoodies then I'm done until either they get so messed up from over-wear that they need replaced or I need new clothes for school, sometimes I get new jeans for Christmas though.  Every once in a while, I'll buy a shirt or hoodie online.  But usually, I go shopping once or twice per year.  I'm weird like that.

Just wanted to say... f* you to the guy who said my voice was boring. Yes, I know you're a guy and who you are because I sat beside you once and I recognize your writing. It's okay, I figured you probably didn't like me because I don't like your girlfriend and she most likely said sh*t about me when I moved away from her. Think for yourself, asswipe.

Fin.

Joan: "Wow. I always thought you'd hate me if I was a cheerleader."
Adam: "No way. Why?
Joan: "Because we're subdefectives and it'd be like deserting the army or something."
Adam: "Oh, no. I don't care if you're a cheerleader, subdefective, or whatever. I just like hanging out with you because.. you're Jane."

Here are some of my favorites, Donna.  (You may recognize some of the authors' names wink

1. A Friend In Need [2641316] by TJ-TeeJay
2. Butterflies: the unadulterated version [3042947] by TJ-TeeJay
3. Coda [1620995] by Mardia
4. Counting Kisses [1836991] by rwusydney
5. Do You Remember? [1682663] by the prodigal chicken
6. For the First Time [2289413] by ProcrastinationQueen
7. Future Prospects [3449683] by TJ-TeeJay
8. Hailstones and Mistletoe [2720971] by TJ-TeeJay

21. We've Only Just Begun [1877417] by Alexandri
22. Wedding Gifts [2013892] by Alexandri

Some are hot :embarrassed:.  Some are sweet, some a little bit corny.  Some are downright sappy!  But I love something about every one of 'em.  One ("The Space Between") is a Luke/Grace story, but it had just enough A/J in it to keep freaks like me happy.  Alexandri, one of my favorite JoA authors, lost her Adam/Joan mojo about the time Adam lost his mind roll:doh:.  So be warned, a number of hers aren't finished.  If you get into her A/J universe at all, there's a really good one she never posted on FFN.  I'll find it and post the URL if you're interested.  Happy reading tongue!

She didn't take them down, did she?  Wonder what ever happened to her.  She really had it going on there for a while.

Re: Randomness

I think I have all of Tote's (namewithheld) stories saved on my hard drive. She rocked, it's such a shame she never went back to Adam and Joan. I think she lost interested and moved on when the show was cancelled and no new episodes were on the horizon.

Carol, did you know that American Idiot = Laura? smile I'm honored that you put A Friend In Need at no. 1 on your list. That really means a lot. And I have to admit, of all those that I wrote, I like that one a lot myself.

We also have a lot of fanfics listed on the Chris website. Check out the JoA section and then click on "Fan Fiction". Scroll down and you'll find ::: others' fan fiction. That's basically a list of my favorite Adam/Joan stories.

Re: Randomness

whoo hoo!!!! Thanks guys. I have read most of Teejays and Deb's but the rest sound awesome. I was reading the Things They Can't See When They Look at Him by Depudor but I can't view the second chapter. Does anyone have a copy of it or any suggestions on how to fix it. In the meantime I am off to the list. I am still avoiding watching T&E.

Re: Randomness

Yeah, I did.  It was a cute one.

I think I've read most of the JoA stories that are on FFN.  I read them when the show was on.  And last year, when I finally caved in and bought the DVDs, I read them all again, and fell in love with a lot of them.

I've read all of yours that are on FFN, TeeJay.  I liked them all, and really loved most of them.  I just didn't like that the "Old Wounds" series left them in such a bad place.  When I read those now, I stop with "Time's A Great Healer".  That one left them in a really hopeful place, I thought.  I DO like that in the last one of that universe, it looks like Joan is getting ready to dump Dr. Brad .  I didn't care for that guy.:D  And he definitely wasn't the right person for Joan.

Joan needed to be with someone more like hmm...

wink

Re: Randomness

Tick tock, Donna.  Seroiusly.  You gotta watch it before the next Butterflies chapter is released.  Trust me.  I know you know what happens, but its not the same as seeing it.  Look at it this way... unlike the rest of us when we watched it, you have all those lovely fics to read and help you work out your hurt and anger afterward.  And you've got Butterflies to bring them back together.  I promise it's going to be OK.  I don't think you'll come out the other side hating Adam.  Mostly, he'll just make your heart ache with his incredibly palpable remourse.  And you've got all of us here to offer you a shoulder to cry on.

Re: Randomness

Donna, I just e-mailed the fic to the address you're using here on the forum. Back when JoA was on, I think I also went through almost all the Adam/Joan stories on FFN and saved the ones I liked best to my hard drive. The list on our site that I talked about earlier is a good representation of the stories I like best, but these are the ones I have saved on my hard drive. I can't vouch for all of them actually being good, I don't remember them all:

Alexandri - The Way Back To You
Alexandri - Then Everything Changes
allatraka - Air It Out
American Idiot - Apology
American Idiot - Dilemma
American Idiot - Time
angela evans - Unhealthy Apathy
angelgazing - After An Afternoon
angelgazing - Messiah
angelgazing - Precipitation
angelgazing - Undoing
Samsy-Marie - Some Kind Of Nightmare
annieca - No Other Way
Butterfly Dancing - Charlatan
Depudor - Things They Can't See When They Look At Him
Digital Dragon Master - Reversing The Stitches
hum-deedley-dum - Circles of Hell
in-a-crater - Ripples
kaoscraze - The Moment
kieyra - The Gift
kithara1013 - The Gift
Nichole - Mother
Procrastination Queen - Betrayal
Sisterdebmac - Taken
Sisterdebmac - The Haircut
sunnycouger - Consequences
the prodigal chicken - Do You Remember
all of Tote's stories
twiglet - The Collection
wallflower04 - Cashing Checks for My Cheating Heart
YayCoffee - Autumn
youcrazything - The Other Woman

And I second Deb, you really need to actually watch T&E. Chris and Amber will blow you away. And you might just feel the same way we do: You wanna both hug and slap Adam.

Re: Randomness

I've had that problem with FFN at times, too, Donna.  I've always been able to get in eventually.  Either I got out and got back in later, or just refreshing the screen helped sometimes.

Is "Thinks They Can't See When They Look at Him" the one where they go out to dinner?  I liked that one a lot, if it's the one I'm thinking of.  You've got a LOT of good reading to do.

Yes, Carol, it's the one where Adam ends up being pulled over by the police. I loved that one, one of my favorite A/J stories.
