Re: Misc Stuff

I do watch the show, but I couldn't find time to watch the new stuff yet. But I'm definitely going to watch it soon. And I'm getting the Coop tweets even twice because I also follow him on Twitter. LOL

This is so cool.  Especially if you love Joey like I do.  I wish Chris was open enough to do stuff like this...

Re: Misc Stuff

Is this just me or is it really weird that all the "new" TV shows I started watching this year have only 13 episodes for a season? Sorry, I find that rather irritating. I'm used to 24 episodes per season.

Re: Misc Stuff

You're getting into cable shows, that's the problem.  Network shows generally have 22. Cable can be anywhere from 8 to 13.

Ah, thanks. I don't really know what the difference between cable shows and network shows is but I guess that doesn't matter anyway.

How could you know?  Online, it doesn't matter.  It's silly, but that's the way it is.

Yeah, online it doesn't matter, that's right. And as long as they don't get cancelled after only one season (or a huge unsatisfying cliffhanger ....) I'm happy with what I get.

Ooops, guess I can never make fun of Gary Busey on Facebook again.  His son Jake, whom I love, just accepted my friend request.  In truth, I love Gary too.  I'm sad for his problems, but a lot of them were self-created.

More on Falling Skies.  You can see a five minute chunk of the premiere ep here.  I'm still a little skeptical, but the write-up makes it sound better than I imagined...

Can't watch the clip till I get home.

It's quite funny actually. I like it. It's a shame it got cancelled so quickly again ... there is a really funny scene with Moyer and Joe where they kind of fight about who gets the girl. I laughed! lol

Finally saw Remember Me tonight.  Loved it!  I'm glad I knew what was coming though.  I think it would've destroyed me otherwise.  Like the film Dawn Anna did.

I know that feeling, Deb! I read the script before I saw the movie and already only READING it was such a shock ... but the movie still brought me to tears. They managed to turn something so ugly in something so beautiful, it makes it a masterpiece. There are not many movies like that.

Re: Misc Stuff

Yep.  The reason it reminded me of Dawn Anna is because that movie had a very similar shock.  And it's actually based on a true story, so it's a real gut-punch.  Dawn is a mom and she has a deadly illness that almost kills her, she also falls in love.  Just as you think things are going well and getting better, she drops her daughter off at school and the camera pulls back to show the school sign, and it's Columbine, on THAT day.  When I watched it, I had NO idea.  It was stunning.

Sounds devastating! I guess if I would watch that movie without knowing I'd be totally destroyed ... OH my God!!! yikes
After Remember Me was out I read on the internet that some people didn't understand the ending ... they thought Tyler killed himself. Uhm. Excuse me. Why would he kill himself if his life just started getting better? Apart from the fact that he made peace with his dad and was about to reconcile with Ally, he would NEVER leave his little sister ... I guess those people were too young to understand, maybe they were some teenagers who didn't know about 9/11 yet. I have no idea how you could miss this ending otherwise ...

Re: Misc Stuff

It's amazing how dense come folks are.  The questions that get asked on IMDb sometimes just blow my mind and make me think, what movie/show were YOU watching?  Some things are just very obvious.  Doesn't make sense how anyone would not understand that ending.

Re: Misc Stuff

Soul Surfer is about a girl that lives in Kaui, Hawaii and she was attacked by a shark and had her left arm completely torn off by a shark. Its about her still surfing with one arm and winning surf competitions. Based on a true story too.

I watched Starter wife last year. Joe was great in it. I did not remember Moyer was in it though. What was his role again? big_smile

I really liked Remember me. Might be my favorite RPatz movie, though I'm not a big fan of his. Also, this might be my favorite 9/11 movie. Very touching and tastefully done.

I'm really interested on seeing Soul surfer. Seems great and I've been facinated the story ever since I first saw a news article about the girl getting bitten.

Yeah, it's the only 9/11 movie I watch since it's not full of patriotism and stuff like that. It's a true marvel among a lot of not-so-great-movies. You should watch Water For Elephants too, though. He's really great in that one, too. But the elephant is still better. wink
