Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

It's a really common mistake, though. I have to type the word often because I work on clinical trials, and it often comes out as trail.

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

Both that one and your new R/A one are great, Laura.  TeeJay, I'll read yours a little later.  Just got back from the grocery store and sat down for a break after cleaning out and restocking the fridge.  Gotta go make something to eat now...

I have a feeling I already showed them to you at some point. They've been on my hard drive for a while...

Still, feel free to read them. I'm not sure I showed them or one of them to you, but I think I did.

Which one did you have already back then?  Which one is the new one?  Link me to the newer one and I'll read it.

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

I have no idea, to be honest. And the time stamps on the files will be no good because I changed the files recently. If you're interested, please check yourself. They're just three or so pages, it won't take forever to read them. If not, well, then I guess it doesn't really matter.

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

Honestly, it didn't even dawn on me until I read that comment. Maybe Joan was going to ride with Luke but he kept wanting to talk about it so she decided the bus was a better idea. I can totally see Joan riding the bus around town for awhile to get away from her family, so don't worry, to me it's logical.

Alright thanks smile  I completely forgot about the bus... I haven't watched that episode in ages.

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

I just assumed that, in your universe, Joan held it together for her family and then when she took the bus to the bookstore she lost it when she saw Mrs. LandingGod.

You're allowed the occasional inconsistancy.;)  The show messed up, too, remember?  Luke was right there for the whole Mock Trial and the subsequent mess but we're supposed to believe that he didn't find out about Adam cheating until Grace told him days later?  D'oh!

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

I just had to check the screen caps to make sure Luke was there.  Thank God he was.   Then the entire third line would have been a lie!

We need to hook Marky Mark up with Uncle Chuckie

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

Yeah, it was kind of weird, I thought.  While Joan & Adam were having the big talk, Grace & Luke were standing just outside in the hallway.  I always wondered why they did that if the whole thing was supposed to come as a shock to Luke a week later.

It's not like they stood there with their ears against the door wink

"Grace, come here.  Listen, they're fighting!"  "Get away from the door, geek."

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

No, but during "Jack's" cross examination it was pretty clear that something was up.  Just before Luke and Grace left the room, Joan remarked that it seemed that everyone knew something that she didn't know.  Luke said he was, "out of the loop" and then he and Grace exited.  Don't you think that, once they were out in the hall, he'd at least try to get Grace to spill the beans?  But no, he suddenly acquired a rampant case of clueless amnesia.  After spending two seasons establishing that Luke was no dummy, they made him totally oblivious.

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

We're talking about the same people who made Adam a jackass.  Luke turning into an idiot shouldn't surprise you.

Bitter?  Me?  Noooo.

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

Posted a new Joan/Grace one.  It's kinda long (for me) and it ends really abruptly.  Mostly because we know what Joan's gonna say next.

And also... the Joan and Adam in my head aren't on speaking terms right now.  I think they're mad at me and taking it out on each other.  So no new A/J stories from me in the near future.

Good one.

But what did you do to the A/J in your head to make them get mad and stop talking?

Re: JoA: Adam & Adam/Joan stories

It's not like they're suffering.  Every couple nights they have angry sex then they wake up and Joan throws things at Aubrey's head.  It's very strange in my brain.
