And yeah, Emile's hair is way too long. He definately doesn't look like a bad ass! To me it looks like his trying to nail the next movie about Jesus.. roll

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

I found Amber's Babylon fields- pilot. Pretty darn creepy. I'm not sure if I'm happy or sad that the series didn't get picked up...

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

If it's on surfthechannel.com, then it's also usually on BitTorrent for download. What irks me about surfthechannel is that they squeeze 16:9 videos into a 4:3 window, so it looks all squished. At least that's what it was like when I checked the site out. Oh well, it's probably better than nothing, right? smile

I have the DVD at home. Nice little movie. Nothing that special, but still worth watching.

Most of them are ok, and wide screen. That's a first vid there (that I saw) that's linked to that videosite. I think it's that other site's fault that it's not 16:9.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Okay, just finished watching Babylon Fields. If the guy Amber's character and her mom killed would not have been such a jerk it would have made an interesting show to watch, I think. I mean, if you were murdered and you had the chance to come back and find your own murderer, would you do it or not?

Oh, and imdb said Amber's movie Blackout will come out on DVD in January.
EDIT: Wait a minute, it also said the movie is already out on DVD - in the Netherlands! Wow!

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

I think if it included transportation it might be a good deal for me LOL.

Not to take away from the wonderful idea, but between you and me anybody can go to the Borders podcast and anyone can go to the red carpet. Both are open to the public. Anyone can also get a couple of cheap hotel rooms.

Of course, if this group has some sort of reserved spot up front at either or both events it might not be a bad deal. And they probably got a discount off the rooms. One room double occupancy is normally $133 for 2 Queen non-smoking. That would be $266. Of course, the trip says the $250 is for 4 people, so I don't know what the price is for 2. So if you have people you'd save $16 per person I guess.

Nothing could beat our JoA fan trip.  Though it cost considerably more than $250.  tongue

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

I love that movie.  Amber's perfect in it.  And it's heartbreaking, kind of like Stephanie Daley.

It was good. and funny. That 'sexscene' Kristen had with the rocker guy is stuck in my mind. It was so hilarious! lol

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Don't know when i'm gonna get around to watching it. I thought it was kinda funny how i received it in the post on the same day than Russell Brand (who plays 'the rock guy') is getting all this hatred towards him in the press. lol

EW Justin Timberlake in 'The Open Road' and More First Looks. Sneak a peek at Mr. SexyBack's '09 movie role.

Justin Timberlake in 'The Open Road' and More First Looks
''It's about how dysfunctional all of our families are,'' Justin Timberlake says of the 2009 film The Open Road. He stars as a ballplayer driving cross-country to find his estranged dad (Jeff Bridges). Speaking of dysfunction, he's traveling with his ex (Kate Mara), and they ''still have a thing for each other.'' So that explains the bickering.

What attracted him to this Road trip? ''There are things you say and go, 'Oh, my God, I sound just like my mother!' I did this film because it's about that: the little things that make you who you are.''
