Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Yeah, it's very intense.  Took me about a week to get over it.  Did you read my blog about it on MySpace?

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Stephanie Daley is a great movie. I mean, I again noticed that I am not a very big fan of Tilda Swinton (I somehow don't feel a connection to her, I don't know why), but Amber's performance just blew me away. It's certainly one of her best performances.
By the way, Deb, I noticed you spelled Tamblyn wrong in your MySpace blog. wink

And you are absolutely right about Amber. You have to experience her on screen and she'll totally blow you.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Sorry, I was watching Grey's Anatomy while I was posting it. I guess GA isn't great for multi-tasking. lol
And do you know what's funny? Since I don't like Meredith anymore, I almost thought I could like Alex a little more (though I still thought he's an a-hole ...), the last episode I watched showed me that I am still right - he still IS an a-hole and I won't start liking him. I'll just continue to feel sorry for Derek. sad
Seriously, what's wrong with Meredith? This guy saved her life, tells her that he wants to marry her and she .... arrrgh! :witsend:

(Sorry, I know it's the wrong thread but every time I watch GA, I have to rant about it a little. LOL)

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Episode 7 of the whole series?  :clueless:

Anyway (I don't think I'm being spoilery here), Meredith's just very disturbed.  She's had a tough life and obviously has major trust issues because of her parents.  Even though she knows it's safe, she's afraid to let Derek in and risk getting hurt.  At least that's what I got from her.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

No, episode 7 of season 4.
And I want Derek and Meredith to be together! They were my last hope!

Oh God, I have a pathetic life, huh? LOL

Adam and Joan were my last hope... now who's pathetic?

They probably will be together, it'll just take a while.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

No, it's more pathetic to find a backup for Adam and Joan ... although Meredith and Derek aren't really a backup. Joan and Adam were special. You can't find that a second time.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

The writers think we NEED conflict.  That a couple can't be happy.  I'm so sick of Meredith/Derek.  They don't even interest me anymore.  Everything about their "problems" is MANUFACTURED.  It just rings false to me that these two people love each other soooooooooooooo much but they can't get their crap together enough to actually have the meaningful relationship they both want.

But like I've said before, GA is this show where I wanna slap almost all the characters almost every week for acting stupid.  It's getting very annoying.  Sometimes it's wildly entertaining and sometimes it's just frustrating.  Sometimes I can't even believe I actually like this show.

Same here, Deb, same here! Although I somehow can't manage to start hating Derek and Meredith. They're still my favorite couple, because I just can't stand what the writers did to George and Izzie. THEY can be a couple, great. WHY??? They don't belong together! But Derek and Meredith do, so why did the writers have to destroy that? I personally don't need any crap between them. But well, I'm just a frustrated fan. Nobody ever listens to me. sad

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Michael Welch announced today that he'll have a recurring role on The Riches this upcoming season.  I love that show!  It's so cool that Mike will be on it.  He's excited about it too.  I emailed him to ask if he could tell us about his role.  I'll let you know if I get any details.
