Ah, okay, sorry. You were talking about DVDs you were looking forward to buying. Well, I guess I'll have to see for myself then.

Phoo. I don't even know what movies are about to come out on DVD. I guess I have to check amazon first. LOL
But, now that I have a job and an apartment and a new shelf, I decided to extend my VERY pitiful DVD collection soon. I have a long list what I want to buy. Including a second Elizabethtown DVD, since my brother lost it. Grrr.

Wow! Those will all be amazing, illinoisguy. The Groundhog Day and Aristocats ones really sound great.
I haven't seen "The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford", but I heard Casey Affleck was wonderful in it. I hope it's really successful, because I think he's every bit as talented as his brother.
That "Bonnie & Clyde" one must be like a 40th anniversary edition or something, right? That movie is a real classic.
That's a fantastic list! Great choices.

I want that 25th Anniversary Tootsie! One of my all time favorites.
I don't like that cover art for The Brave One. It's the poster art that was used in Asia. They even tried to make Jodie look like some Animae character. The American poster art was much more melancholy, which is the tone of the movie. She's not friggin' Dirty Harry.

Entertainment Weekly is supposed to have a coupon for $5 off Tootsie and other Anniversary Editions from Sony.
Circuit City will have the new edition on sale for $10, so if CC accepts manufacturer's coupons you could get it for $5.
I subscribe to EW so I'll let you know what issue it is.
It's really too bad that the new edition of Tootsie doesn't have an audio commentary. The old Criterion Collection laserdisc had one so I can't understand why they couldn't have recorded a new AC for this edition. Sad to say, but the actors are getting older and who knows how much longer they'll be around to participate in future extras.

What are the extras if not commentary?

The $5 coupon is indeed in Entertainment Weekly. It's the issue with Heath Ledger on the cover.
Coupon is also good for these too.

Midnight Express (30th Ann. Edition)
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
The Bridge on the River Kwai

Since it's been over a month, here is an updated list of dvds I am looking forward to.
A Passage to India: Collector's Edition
Laverne & Shirley: Season Four
Indiana Jones: The Adventure Collection
Short Circuit: Special Edition
The Nude Bomb

Yay! Robot Chicken Star Wars!
Boo! Lions For Lambs - that movie's failure effectively killed Oliver Stone's Pinkville, which would've been Chris's next project.

I love Robot Chicken, too. It's like short attention span theater. A friend told me I'm love it, but I postponed seeing it. I was surprised that, after the opening credits, there was no chicken. Hilarious.
Have you seen "The Nude Bomb", illinoisguy? I'm a huge "Get Smart" fan, but...

They're releasing "I'm Not There" on DVD on May 6. This is one that I never caught in the theaters, but really wanted to. Anybody else catch it?
