Man, Heath Ledger was amazing. It was the only good movie this summer.

I liked Iron Man, too. But not much else.

Heath was definitely amazing! No one could play a better joker than him.

Just watched it.
Heath was very good. As was Eckhart.
It was kind of slow at first. I think it didn't start getting good until the entire Joker chasing after Dent in the armored truck. I did think that the destruction of the Batmobile/Tumbler was a mistake. I didn't really like the Batpod/bike that much. Just too weak looking. But I've never been a fan of bikes anyways.
I think the best sequences was the above mentioned Joker chasing Dent in the armored truck, the blowing up of the hospital.
I will say it's not really that much of an action film, if anything it's more of a psychological drama.
I will say the ending was somewhat of a letdown though to me. The Joker didn't get killed, Dent gets killed and Batman becomes a wanted man.
I think if it wasn't for Heath's performance that overall it's a slight disappointment to me. The basic story was just kind of, I don't know --meh!! The only thing that saved the movie for me was Heath. I was looking for an action packed film, but the action wasn't really that exciting to me.
I think I like Batman Begins better.
I don't know if it was all of the hype, but I was expecting a much better film.
I think I would rate it a B-/ borderline C+.

Dent didn't necessarily die...

I really like The Dark Knight. I'm not obsessed with it though like a lot of people. I think Heath gave an amazing performance! In my opinion it's the best Batman movie.

As with Transformers a year ago, some people collect just about every dvd edition out there.
For example, here is what one guy bought of the Dark Knight dvd releases.
For me, I pick the edition I want the most and buy that. I can't see about owning every exclusive edition. But it's their money.
Offline
Didn't know there were that many editions. I like the far left one with Heath the most! ;D

You know how on the 2 disc special edition has the digital copy? Does that mean it has 3 discs then? Or does it have the movie and bonus features on one disc and then the 2nd disc is the digital copy then it equals to 2 discs? I don't know why I'm so confused!

Yay, I'm unchallenged. I want to stay here now.

You better stay, girl.

I can't believe some people would buy all the versions of The Dark Knight. That's a lot of money to spend...

On the version I have this is how it's broken down.
Disc 1: Movie only
Disc 2: Digital Copy and a few Bonus Features.
Disc 3: 1 Exclusive Featurette
On the regular 2 disc set, it's just the first 2 discs.
Here is the back cover of the 2 disc set.
If you buy the 1 disc edition, you get no extras whatsoever.

Just in case anyone is wondering how it's doing on dvd/blu-ray, it's doing very well to say the least.
Over 600,000 Blu-ray copies and three million DVD copies of "The Dark Knight" have sold in the film's first day of release reports Deadline Hollywood Daily.
The previous Blu-ray record holder was "Iron Man" which took a week to sell 400,000 copies. Over seven million regular DVD copies of the film are expected to be sold by week's end.
To give you a comparison the bestselling DVD of last year was "Transformers" which sold nearly fourteen million units over the space of around twelve weeks. "Finding Nemo" is the best selling DVD of all time with 30 million copies sold as of last year.

Thanks, a bunch...DVD's are getting so confusing lately for me.

I hope this isn't true for Deb's sake. (actually I think this casting would be terrible.
Joan: So, my true nature is to be a catalyst? That is mad anti-climatic.
God: Anti climactic. Anti-climatic means you're against the weather.

Good thing Heath's not in it so I won't need to see it. Or maybe Sheepers'll break another limb or go to jail or something for being an arrogant little prat and have to drop out.
