Yeah, in their way but this one has it spelled out in dialog, repeatedly.

Re: Random JoA Stuff...

I was watching What About Brian last night, flipped over the channel and saw Will sleazing all over Debra Messing. Freaked me out a little I have to say, I was not expecting to see him. I know it's not actually Will, but I can't help it that my immediate reaction is 'hey it's Will Giradi cheating on Helen'.

Yeah, I can't watch that show either.  What's it called?  The Starter Wife.  Blech!

Re: Random JoA Stuff...

Here's something random for you.

This morning I come into my colleague Valesca's office and she's on the phone with another colleague, telling her about the Hooters concert she went to last night. And at one point she said: "And they they sang the song 'What If God Was One Of Us'. I can't remember who originally sang it, but you know the song, right?"

I picked up a notepad and wrote 'Joan Osborne' on it and gave it to her. She laughed and thanked me. smile

Hahaha, my mom just got back from Aruba (she accompanied my stepdad on a business trip), and she said that song started playing on a bus, and no one seemed to remember who sang it originally. So she piped up, "It's the theme song to Joan of Arcadia!", and two women said "I loved that show!!" big_smile

Cool!
Someting like this happened to me today too. I was walking home from the bus station and suddenly I head the sound of "Kryptonite" (3 Doors Down song) coming out of a car. Well, I have listened to that song a hundred times, but in that second I remembered EXACTLY when it was played in JoA. That was kinda cool. big_smile

Re: Random JoA Stuff...

Has anyone ever done a video montage of just A/J looks, kisses and touches?  That would be so beautiful, I bet.

Hey, TeeJay, you know what else might be fun and inspirational?  A collage of the Butterflies banners you've created.

Something just occurred to me.  I can't remember Adam and Glynis ever exchanging words, speaking directly with each other.  Am I forgetting something?  If not, isn't that kinda weird?

It is really weird, the closest scene I can remember is in "3rd Grade Ashtray", when Glynnis comes up to Adam and Joan to ask about Luke's health.  Glynis is talking to both of them (but she barely looks at Adam).  I have grown to assume that everything is intentional on JOA, but I can't come up with a reason for this one.

God: Anti climactic. Anti-climatic means you're against the weather.

Maybe she secretly had a crush on him since elementary school or something and suddenly they're kind of in the same group.

Re: Random JoA Stuff...

I wrote it... so, here it is.  I'm a bit out of it today so I'm not really crazy about this one.  Not to mention I'm not used to writing Glynis.  It sort of comes off as Adam using Glynis at one point...

Re: Random JoA Stuff...

I love it.  If you wanna make it less like Adam's using her, change this:

Whatever get her to help him, he'd do it.

To this:

He was so happy to have the help, he would put himself at her whim.

That way, he just sounds grateful, and not self-obsessed.

Also, you could totally do a sequel.  In it, she could be constantly mesmerized by the eye contact he keeps drawing her into.  In the past, she'd always avoided eye contact with his warm baby browns.  Sitting across the table from him, it's impossible to.  It'd be kind of an in-joke.  That's the thing that gets you about Chris when you're taking to him.  He really looks at you and holds the eye contact.

And you could make a funny comment about the fact that Adam and Glynis used to be the same height in 5th grade or something, but it got awkward when she grew taller than him.  Yet still, she crushed on him...  wink
