I was just happy he didn't try to do West Side Pride or some other gang sign when he said that... he probably would have hurt himself.

Shammy! Sammy 2.0 is on Pushing Diasies... or he was like two minutes ago as a man who got his face bitten off by a dog.
Offline
That was the first Sammy, though. The other one was the guy who was on Ellen.

Someone actually told me about Pushing Daisies and that I should look into it. Is it worth it?

I don't think so... it was a little strange. I only watched it because I saw Sammy in the previews.

It was OK. Very quirky. Reminded me of Wonderfalls a lot. The lead guy in it is impossibly cute. I don't mean looks wise, exactly. He's just funny and adorable in action. Pictures don't do him justice. I like that his formerly dead girl-next-door sweetheart, who he's clearly still smitten with will be working with him. That's a clever plot device. They adore each other but can't touch or she'll die. And he has this secret --- he accidentally killed her dad when they were 10.

I'm rewatching the first season now, and I'm stuck on at the beginning of Bringeth It On (episode 1x06). Adam told two girls in Chem class that his uncle flushed Siamese twin kittens down the tiolet, which is where I got confused.
Now, here's my question: where the kittens Siamese cats, two that were fused together somehow... or both? For some reason, I'm picturing a Siamese kitten with two heads and eight legs.

I always thought it was two kittens that were fused together, that that was the reason his uncle killed them because they wouldn't live anyway. And I'm actually trying to ignore that early Adam because to me it wasn't the real Adam then (like I explained in the other thread about the writers not deciding on who Adam really was until "Jump").

Well, Adam's always been a little... special. It showed weird Adam pre-Joan, then slightly less weird Adam when Joan came into the picture, then almost "normal" Adam when he fell for her.

He was kind of a morbid kid at first. Well, OK, maybe always a little morbid. The thing with the kittens doesn't really feel out of character.

I like weird Adam more, he carrys some or that weirdness/morbidness (whatever you wanna call it) through. It's what makes him not just another ordinary teen character.

I agree, completely, Susanna. He's one of the most unique 16-17-year-old boys ever on TV. Someday, we should compile a list of how Adam is different from most run-of-the-mill teenage guy characters.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! BAD CBS!!!!
Moonves To Remain at CBS Post Through 2011
The announcement of the latest ratings win by CBS came on the same day that the company disclosed that it had signed a new long-term contract with its president and CEO, Les Moonves. Although the pact reduces his annual compensation to $3.5 million from $5.9 million over the next four years, it adds incentives tied to the performance of CBS Corp. stock.
Those boneheads.

I just watched The Devil Made Me Do It again today. Did anyone else notice that even though when Adam was obviously angry at Joan when she tried to explain herself, that he still let her catch attention (by grabbing his arm while he was walking alway)?
I liked that it was so unlike every other time anyone else tried to touch him. Kevin for example fell out of his chair when he tried to grab Adam. Also, he always seemed to look at anyone else's hands when they touched him in a 'why are you touching me' kind of thing.
In Bringeth It On, in another scene with Joan he looked at her hand when she touched him, but was shocked and stumbled over his lines. He made no move to stop her, which made me love them as a pairing.
Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but has anyone else noticed those completely Adam mannerisms?
Offline
Oh, no, you're not reading too much into it. I think you're exactly right. I've mentioned similar ideas about Adam's being grabbed/touched thing myself. I was always fascinated by how horribly uncomfortable was with Judith pawing at him for the first two eps she appeared in. And he even looked at Johnny Godway's hand on his shoulder. And yet, he was always OK with Joan touching him.
