I haven't seen it yet (and probably won't before tomorrow night), but is this about Self? If not, don't say anything. smile

Re: Prison Break

Yeah, Self.  Are you spoiled on that already?  I never saw it coming.  But I did see Shannon Lucio's fate coming a mile away.

Re: Prison Break

I don't know much, only that Self deserts and joins The Company. I don't really wanna know more before I see it, though. smile I read it somewhere on a forum more or less by accident (and it hadn't been confirmed at that point), I didn't look for spoilers on that specifically. Also, the ep title "Selfless" pretty much gave it away that the Self rumor wasn't just a rumor.

I'm trying to stay away from written spoilers, I just enjoy looking at stills for future episodes.

I don't know what you're talking about exactly when you say Shannon's fate, but I guess it's pretty much clear what'll happen with her. I'll come back and post when I've seen the ep.

Re: Prison Break

Self doesn't join The Company.

And come on, you aren't gonna tell me that you haven't feared for Shannon's safety pretty much from day one.  I certainly have.  I just thought it was gonna be T-Bag who did something awful to her.  BTW, keep your eyes open for this one very tiny, but wonderfully creepy moment between T-Bag & Gretchen in which she kind of "pets" him.  Gave me the willies and made me giggle at the same time.

Re: Prison Break

Ew. I'll watch out for that one. I'll see about Self then. Now I'm curious! big_smile I can only guess that he's gonna be the third person to die, then. I read somewhere that within the first half of s4, three major characters were gonna die. So far we've had Roland and Bellick. Maybe Wyatt counts too. I'll see soon enough, please don't say anything! smile

If the ep downloads fast enough, I might be able to watch it before Steffi comes over tonight.

Re: Prison Break

Holy shit indeed. So now it's not the hunt to get Scylla, it's the hunt to get Scylla back. yikes Didn't see it coming either.

But there's the one thing I still hate. I'm telling you, Michael will not get that operation until he's almost dead. In the last episode of the season and we're not gonna know if he's gonna live or die until the next season starts. (Then again, there might not be a 5th season, right?)

Re: Prison Break

Might not? I'd say count on will not.

And I was talking more about how Self is now out to sell Scylla to the highest bidder.  He didn't join the Company, he went rogue.  I thought he was a straight-up guy.  They really had me fooled.  Poor Shannon.  sad  They didn't show much in the preview for the next ep, but I think Self is gonna torture T-Bag.

Re: Prison Break

Yeah, I can't see how they're gonna come up with more compelling stuff to fill a whole other season and still stay kinda true to the original premise. This would be a pretty good season to wrap things up, though I'd love to see another season just to accompany the characters further.

I figured you were talking about Self. It didn't come as that big a surprise to me since I was kinda spoiled about something happening with Self beforehand. But it still was a really huge blow. A great plot twist. And wonderful, beautiful acting by Mr. Rapaport. I also loved Sarah W. Callies in the gunpoint scene. I won't forget that amused, yet patronizing smile on her face for a long time.

Re: Prison Break

You know what? Even though I had read your post before I watched the episode, I didn't recognize her. So after watching, I was thinking... who did she play? And then it dawned on me that she must have been the doctor--and there you go.

So we're losing Sucre now too? At least he didn't have to die... And I can't believe he left without saying goodbye to Michael. I also hear he's not the last regular to leave the show this season. I just hope it's not Mahone. As much as I hated him in season two, I like him better now with every episode.

I'm not entirely happy with the turn of events, to be honest. Lincoln working for the Company now? And working together with Gretchen and Self? That's just twisted. Also, I thought it was pretty ridiculous to have Michael alert and up and running just a few hours after the surgery. We're talking about major brain surgery here. Company technology or not, it doesn't work like that. But, hey, what am I expecting? This is Prison Break, after all. Superhuman Michael Scofield. tongue I did like the return of Westmoreland, though.

Oh, and I had to look away when Lincoln pulled T-Bag's teeth. As much as I despise the guy, damn, that must have hurt. I think what's bothering me is how they're making Lincoln this ruthless killer/torturer now. It already irked me that in one of the recent episodes he just shot this US Marshall guy without ever looking back. I believe Lincoln's better than that.

Re: Prison Break

Well, you don't end up completely scarless and clean when you have full body tats removed either.  That's just the way this show works.  I lost track of what was happening a few times last night.  Missed the teeth pulling, but I'm not a bit bothered by that.

Re: Prison Break

Denise Crosby was also Dexter's first non-canine victim, too.  In a season 1 flashback she was one of those Angel-of-Death nurses and was trying to kill Harry.  Dexter was so careful that first time he saran-wrapped her whole apartment.

Re: Prison Break

Jeez. I just finished re-watching all of Prison Break (not counting season 4). Now I'm through all the DVD boxes I bought. It's amazing, all the little details they put in at the beginning that you realize fall into place when you've already seen later episodes.

And the second time around, I again got kinda tired of the guys being on the run in season 2, just like the first time I watched it. That's when I stopped watching the show for a while the first time around. I re-watched some of the early s2 episodes during ironing or doing something else because I think I kinda would have gotten bored if I had given them my full attention. But at the end of season 2, they picked up the slack again and things got really interesting.

And still, I didn't hate s3. I actually found it mesmerizing to watch. All these actors did such a fantastic job, kudos to everyone. It's really hard to see folks like Bill Fichtner, Wade Williams and Robert Knepper cracking jokes in between takes because they're these intense and sometimes despicable characters on the screen. I think everyone's really doing a fantastic job on the show, and that's why it's universally loved all around the globe. I believe the show has a huge fanbase, they keep talking about millions of Chinese people loving it, and especially France seems to be crazy about the show. I know it's popular in Germany too, but I think the network's been messing around with airtimes a little. Not that I'd know, I never watch German TV anymore.

Re: Prison Break

In what way?  I didn't think it sucked, but it was a little weird.  There were some things I liked in it.  Gretchen getting gut-shot made me grin ear to ear.  Of course she won't die, the bitch.  I also liked T-Bag trying to talk them out of killing her by mentioning her kid.  Was he playing them, or was he sincerely concerned?  I'm glad Alex is back.  I like that Kathleen Quinlan is playing Mike & Linc's mom.  I'm really curious about the events in the previews for upcoming eps.

You do know that was the last ep for a few months, right?

Re: Prison Break

Yeah, I know they're going on hiatus. I didn't know for how long. A few months sound awfully long. I was thinking February, but you make it sound like it's gonna be longer than that.

I only really liked the Michael/Sara stuff (talk about being predictable). I don't care at all for the Scylla storyline anymore. I hate that they're making Lincoln into this selfish, ruthless Company goon kinda type. He used to be human. What happened? I also hate that they're ripping apart the bond between Lincoln and Michael. To me that was always what kept the show together.

I also don't like how they're trying to sell to us that Christina Rose Scofield has been alive all this time. I was ready to buy that with Aldo Burrows, but a second time?

At this rate, I'm only gonna keep watching for the Michael/Sara stuff. Let's hope they try really hard to get the show back on track after the hiatus. Or else I won't be sad seeing it go after season 4. Because at this rate, that's where they're headed.

Re: Prison Break

Sorry to let you know this, but I figured you would want to know:

Prison Break' to wrap after 4 seasons

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. (AP) - It's inescapable: Fox TV is bringing ``Prison Break'' to an end after four seasons.

The network said Tuesday that the drama starring Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell will begin airing its final episodes this spring. The series took a break after its December season debut and will conclude with about a half-dozen episodes starting April 17.

Fox entertainment president Kevin Reilly told a meeting of the Television Critics Association that the decision allows the series to end on a high creative note.
