Cool article. I really hope I'll get to see the movie. I recently watched some of Kristen Stewart's other movies (aside from Twilight) and she's really great. I think 2010 will be a great movie year for me. There's so many stuff coming out I can't wait to see.

You know what? I don't even know what's coming out. I'm so out of the loop lately. The only movie I even know to look forward to is this one. My IMDb friend, Daja has compiled a 2010 list and is asking what I'm looking forward to, but TR is the only thing on my list so far.

My list is a little longer. Next to the Runways I am also exited about Kristen's other movie(s), Welcome to the Rileys, and The Yellow Handkerchief, which is already available here, but only the dubbed version and you know that I'm not gonna watch that. There is a small chance that my theatre will get the undubbed version in January, though. Which is what I am hoping for very much. LOL And then there are some other movies I really look forward to.

The music-fueled story of the ground-breaking, all girl, teenage rock band of the 1970s stars Kristen Stewart, Dakota Fanning, Danielle Riley Keough, Scout Taylor-Compton (TV's "Arrested Development"), and Michael Shannon. The film marks the first theatrical collaboration between Apparition and River Road Entertainment. Executive Produced by Joan Jett and Produced by River Road and Linson Entertainment, THE RUNAWAYS will have its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival Sunday, January 24.
Directed by Floria Sigismondi, the film was produced by John Linson, Art Linson and Bill Pohlad. Joan Jett, Kenny Laguna and Brian Young serve as executive producers.
The film follows two friends, Joan Jett (KRISTEN STEWART) and Cherie Currie (DAKOTA FANNING), as they rise from rebellious Southern California kids to rock stars of the now legendary group that paved the way for future generations of girl bands. They fall under the Svengali-like influence of rock impresario Kim Fowley (MICHAEL SHANNON), who turns the group into an outrageous success and a family of misfits. With its tough-chick image and raw talent, the band quickly earns a name for itself—and so do its two leads: Joan is the band's pure rock' n' roll heart, while Cherie, with her Bowie-Bardot looks, is the sex kitten. The film co-stars Danielle Riley Keough, Scout Taylor-Compton, Stella Maeve, and Tatum O'Neal.
