I don't know if it's that the audiences are so crazy for these gritty procedural dramas. I think it's that they make so much money for the people who make them. They all seem to be following the Law & Order template. Each episode is, for the most part, a stand alone and doesn't have (or need) a whole lot of story arc. Shows like this can survive numerous cast changes and still continue on for years. And they can be shown for many more years in syndication out of any kind of sequence because they aren't character-driven. They're all about the crime or autopsy of the week. I hope they'll run their course one of these days. I think they're very tiresome.

My dad really likes the show and he Tivo's it every week. I told him that it's probably getting canceled soon and he's really disappointed. He said all the good shows get cancelled and that it's really unfair for Amber Tamblyn.

As a rule, I despise cop shows. like I said earlier, they're all just too gritty. So saying that I love this show is huge. I'd probably love it even if Amber wasn't in it, but I probably wouldn't have watched it then.

I like the quirky character-driven cop shows, not the procedurals. So this one is right in my wheelhouse.

Plus, I just love the cast. All of them. Long time Harold Perrineau and Terry Kinney fan from Oz on down. And Jeremy Renner, for years. Ever since The It Factor, in which he appeared as himself, an LA actor trying to make it. He landed the Dahmer movie while being on that show. (Just occured to me, kinda like Bryan Greenberg landed Prime while appearing as himself in Unscripted.) Adam Goldberg, I've liked since Dazed & Confused in '93. And of course, Amber...

That's how I feel too. Even though I started watching it for Amber, I didn't know how much I'd like all those other characters also that really make it great. I've really just been enjoying this one a lot...

Obviously, that's Jason, whatever Chris' character's name ends up being and Casey at the bottom. Up at the top, are them as teenagers.

I love all the guys. Even EddieAlvarez. Cole's really growing on me, he's so adorkable. They're all such goofs, together they're a total crack-team. The only one I could do without is Beaumont.

Nice, Laura. I love that. I like the idea of him being named William, and her calling him Will. In the bottom part, he looks cheeky, Casey looks rather pensive and nostalgic and Jason looks worried and cautious. Perfect!

And I dig Banks & Delahoy too.
