Re: Joan of Arcadia - Butterflies

You're asking permission?  The answer is no.  You really wanna enjoy Adam from the beginning, seriously.  Ask Dee.  She spoiled herself and now she can't get through the rest of Season Two.  sad

I know we're driving you crazy with this stuff, Paige.  Sorry about that.  You'll see once you get into it.  Did you ever get that email from TeeJay about AVI DVDs?

Re: Joan of Arcadia - Butterflies

It is sooooo ok. It just makes me want to watch it more and more. It builds up and now hoepfully I can watch it soon. Yeah i got it. idk If my DVD player plays those. I wouldnt even know how to find out. She said she has the others but it'd b hard to copy and send 6 discs from each season.

Re: Joan of Arcadia - Butterflies

AVI's you would have to play on your computer.  The only issue might be that you'd have to download the codec.  I did not have this capapbility, but TeeJay sent me a gently used DVD ROM for my PC and showed me where to get the codec.  Now, I can play DVDs on it.  At that point, she had already made me AVI copies of S2 to tide me over until the official release of the S2 DVDs.  I still have them and would happily loan them to you.  Then she'd only have to copy S1 for you.

Now, I did go out and buy better speakers --- really killer ones in fact.  Because I needed to hear the show sounding like it did on TV.  A wonderful side effect of that was these speakers made Chris's voice even deeper and bassier than normal.

I will gladly share that experience with you if your PC is up to the challenge...

Re: Joan of Arcadia - Butterflies

I still have the copies of both seasons, mostly because I don't want to overuse the DVD boxes (LOL) and also because they changed some music. Which SUCKS!!! Plus I can play them on my computer. smile

Re: Joan of Arcadia - Butterflies

OK, then, Paige.  Let's see what we can do about getting you hooked up.

Another great things about my S2 DVDs is that they have the original music, not the crappy subsitutions they did for the DVDs.  Also, you get the opening credits and theme song on every single ep, not just the first one of the season.  Cheap-assed Sony!

Not sure if TeeJay's S1 copies would be of the DVDs or if she has them downloaded in their original form.  You'd have to ask her about that.

Re: Joan of Arcadia - Butterflies

Well, let's see what TeeJay says when she gets back to the MB.  If she can get you S1, I can get you S2.  You just have to promise I'll get mine back.  Someday.  No big furry hurry though since I have the official set too.

Oh, I have both s1 and s2 as DivX AVI files as well as the DVD boxes. It's not difficult to install the DivX codec on your computer, you might even have it already (it's freeware too). Paige, I'll answer your e-mail about this later, okay?

I'm not sure if Deb told you this, TeeJay, but I actually have been reading Butterflies.  I really like it, I'm just lazy never get around to reviewing.  It really is a great story, I can't wait for the next chapter.
