It's really weird. But then again, I've noticed that unless it's a big summer blockbuster, they've narrowed the promotion window down to like 2 weeks. I can understand why it's not being advertised on TV yet. But I do not understand why there's no poster and no trailer. Except maybe the studio doesn't think it's very good and they're just going to dump it and expect it to fail. Which it probably will since they're not promoting it. Nice self-fulfilling prophecy there, huh?

We have a trailer! And Chris is in it, though you only see him from the back, you hear his voice twice. In fact he delivers the money line. He's apparently a young agent working the case with Topher. It looks kinda cheeseball, but also like a big, slick, glossy Hollywood movie. I'm excited.

I am very excited!!! It may seem kinda cheeseball but I agree that it also looks like a big Hollywood movie and that can be a very good thing for our boy. I saw his cute tush in the first shot with his voice and then heard him deliver another important line near the end of the trailer.

I will def. being going to see this as soon as it comes out. :dancing:

OK, calling up the bakery, ordering the world's biggest cookie for TeeJay!

I'm tickled that he's sharing scenes with Topher. Like I said when the movie was announced, Chris + Topher = Christopher. And that just cracks me up. I'm easy. What can I say. It's so cool that he obviously has a bit more to do in this one than he did in The Rite.

Isn't it nice to have something to look forward to?

PS: Is that a badge on his belt, or he just glad to see us?

I sure hope the trailer doesn't give the whole plot away as much as it seems to! I'm looking forward to seeing this one, though. If it doesn't show in my home town, I'll go see it near where I work on Friday. I wouldn't pay full price for anybody else. :applause::-)

It usually sucks if the trailer gives too much away, but since this movie features my two favorite actors I'm still seeing it. I already talked to my theatre if they will have it! LOL It looks like Moyer's character will die pretty soon, which sucks for me, but at least there is still room for some Chris scenes!

Someone posted on IMDb that they saw the movie in a test screening and the trailer does NOT give the plot away. See? I knew it couldn't be as simple as that.

Yes, but what a cute caboose it is...and both of his lines are money! :drool: over his voice and delivery.

Men with badges can be very sexy. Now that he's done his second role as a FBI or CIA agent, maybe he'll land some other roles of this type/magnitude in the future. I def. wouldn't mind seeing that.

IMDb is such a double-edged sword. It's littered with jerks who will stop at nothing, but there's also many influential people on there--as we know. Directors and other crew read and post there, which we know from experience. I get the impulse of going back, but I've long since given up on it myself, and I find myself not missing it. Guess it's a decision you can only make for yourself, Deb. That said: STOP GOING THERE!!!!

Most of the boards in my favorites are really good. I rarely have issues with trolls anymore. But I swear every single post on the Double board right now is "the trailer reveals too much, I don't want to see the movie now.". Fine, don't. Who cares? And how 'bout taking note of the fact that there's already ten threads worth of bitching? Why start yet another new one? I just gotta stay out of there until there's other stuff to talk about.

Well, I bit and posted a reply on IMBD the other day. It was probably a wasted attempt to tell people not to write off the movie. It ticks me off that all these people are bad-mouthing a movie based on a 2.30 min. trailer that they don't even understand anyway....

There was an interesting post on there tonight. Some guy was encouraging people to speculate rather than just write it off as already spoiled. I can't believe they're stupid enough to think they know everything because one plot point is revealed. Also, we have to remember that that guy who's seen it says the Gere chasing himself bit is not the point and it's revealed in the first 20 minutes of the film.

Yeah, I read somewhere too that it isn't spoiled even if the trailer seems so. I think there are layers upon layers when it comes to the plot of this film. IMBD boards tend to turn people into teenage trolls. Everybody is either gushing over someone's hotness like a perverted mouth-breather or whining about things when they've hardly got any base on their opinion other than their own confusion over their narrow minds not being able to see the woods from the trees. I come to this conclusion every time I make the mistake of opening some interestingly titled thread. Which happens once a week. Or month. I've given up on that community, but I still find the database useful and intriguing. Just stay off the boards!
