I read through 14 yesterday, Moonlight. I made a few notes, not many. I'll get something to you by next Saturday. Not just the holidays, but Nov-Jan is my busiest time at my new job. Our annual report is due at the end of the month.
Thanks, guys! It's been quiet (except for the reappearance of you-know-who last spring/summer), but good year on the site. I don't post as much as I used to, but I check in every day. I appreciate having a place to check out all the news. I hope everyone has a happy and safe Christmas and a happy and prosperous 2012. I found a great job this year and I hope Christmas 2012 finds Anne in her dream job. If anyone is traveling during the holidays, please be careful. See you all in 2012!
TeeJay, are you taking any fabulous vacations over the holidays?
He was on top of the nightmare "wedding cake", too. I doubt any of the high school kids will be back for the final installment. Which is sad because they provided some much needed comic relief. I just can't see any justification for having them back, story-wise. I REALLY don't think they needed to split the last book into two parts, and I'm afraid that the last movie will be a bit thin. I think they're about out of gas.
Ed Wynn was in "Mary Poppins" with Dick Van Dyke
who was on "The Dick Van Dyke Show" with Mary Tyler Moore
who was in "Ordinary People" with Donald Sutherland (& Timothy Hutton who was in Stephanie Daley, but I digress...)
who was in "American Gun" with...
Casey Affleck?
And there is absolutely nothing wrong with using Columbo. For anything. Ever. :applause:
I think he might've guest-starred on Remington Steele once or twice. ;-) He was the only junior or senior I could think of.
We're talking Ed, Senior, correct? Here we go (cracks knuckles...)
Ed Begley was in "Dateline - USA" with Humphrey Bogart
who was in "To Have and Have Not" with Lauren Bacall
who was in "The Mirror Has Two Faces" with Jeff Bridges
who was in "The Open Road" with Justin TImberlake
who was in "Alpha Dog" with...
Efram Zimbalist, Jr.?
We oughta start a thread for offbeat hotties.
IMDb has a list of "Hollywood's Hottest Geeks" (their word, not mine). http://www.imdb.com/list/xGedcQ_LtNE/
Incidentally, I think it's just as unacceptable to call someone "ugly" as it is to call them "morons" or (God forbid!) "retards". People can't choose their intellectual capacities anymore than they can choose their skins.
Sounds like they're gonna push the theatrical release out so far that it bumps into the DVD release.
I don't think I've ever seen Jerry Springer play anyone but himself, Mel. I think you've stumped us again.
Entertainment Weekly's most recent issue reunited casts from past movies and TV programs. It was really fun. The best one was the cast of "The Princess Bride". I was trying to figure out how to scan it and Deb found it online. Enjoy!

I love how they included framed pictures of Peter Falk and Andre the Giant! The text said that Fred Savage was busy filming elsewhere, but I find that a little hard to believe.
I was totally wrong. That isn't a stuffed bear back there with Wallace Shawn! It's a R.O.U.S. My bad.
Thanks, TeeJay!
Yeah, he really should've flown in for the day for that one. They had some great reunions in that issue and there was only other person who surprised me by not showing up. They had a picture of Dennis Franz with Jimmy Smits, Ricky Schroeder, AND David Caruso. But Mark-Paul Gosselar couldn't be there. Franz and Caruso! If someone called me and said to show up on a certain because hell was going to freeze over, I'd show. ;-)
Thanks, Shell!
I love how Wallace Shawn is in the back with a stuffed bear. Like maybe he thought it was going to be a "Hotel New Hampshire" reunion.

 Atticus looks nothing like Rip Torn!
Anyone who has ever used a personal computer (all of us) or ever loved a Pixar movie (I assume all of us) owes a serious debt to Steve Jobs. As I am typing here on my Mac, I can't imagine what the world would have been like if he hadn't lived.
The phrase that someone changed the world is thrown around way to easily, and it has kind of lost it's meaning. But Steve Jobs really did change the world.
Totally agree, Rick! He packed more accomplishment into his 56 years than other so-called geniuses could pack into ten lifetimes.
I didn't know who he was, so I had to cheat and look him up. Didn't Dana Hill play him in the movie?
Shoot! I always forget about "The Ring".
Margaret O'Brien was in "Meet Me in St. Louis" with Mary Astor
who was in "Hush, Hush Sweet Charlotte" with Bette Davis
who was in "Return From Witch Mountain" with Kim Fields
who was in "Black Snake Moan" with Justin Timberlake
who was in "Alpha Dog" with...
Justin Henry?
He was on of "The Sound of Music" kids (Frederich, I think) and he guest-starred on "Family" in the 70s. If that helps.
Ah, okay. Did you ever see "A Boy and His Dog"? One of Don Johnson's early gigs. It was very dark, but hilarious at the same time. And I usually don't care much for sci-fi.
Shirley Temple was in "The Bachelor and the Bobby Soxer" with Cary Grant
Cary Grant was in "Walk, Don't Run" with Jim Hutton
Jim Hutton was in "Never Too Late" with his son, Timothy Hutton
Timothy Hutton was in "Stephanie Daley" with Amber Tamblyn
who was in "Joan of Arcadia" with...
Nicholas Hammond?
How in the world is Chris one degree from Buddy Ebsen? Speaking of Buddy, Elly Mae had a birthday last week. She's 78.
Russ was in "Peyton Place"? I'm gonna have to watch that one again. For that matter he could've been a Pennypacker kid. They were all red-headed.
Barry Livingston was in "The Social Network" with Jesse Eisenberg
who was in "The Education of Charlie Banks" with...
I was pretty excited when I saw Ernie in TSN, but I never knew he'd show up in 6 Degrees. :dancing:
Adam Rich?
LOL! You could do it that way. I've taken the easy path plenty of times lately. Don't know if you've seen it, but David was in "The Remarkable Mr. Pennypacker". I'm not even sure if that'll help.
Got it!
Ricky Nelson was in "Rio Bravo" with Angie Dickenson
who was in "Pearl" with Adam Arkin
who was in "Graduation" with...
David Nelson
