LOL. I love it. Sam looks like that kid from A Christmas Story with his tongue stuck to the flag pole.

Found a little video online that has some interviews with a few of our Fanboys

Thanks!

I work two jobs, cuz we're trying to get caught up on bills and all that fun stuff. What really sucks is that I am paid salary at my day job for 40 hours, but I usually work 55-60 a week. It kills me!! I'm like a zombie when I come home. I just got promoted officially at my day job this past friday so I should be able to quit at the airport soon. smile

#506 Re: Square Eyes » Pan's Labyrinth » 11 Feb 07 :: 23:14

I've been wanting to see this movie for quite awhile! It's hard for me to break away for a movie working 75 hours a week and taking care of a three year old, but I will definitely see it on DVD. Looks like an awesome film. Storywise and visually.

Don't they also call them "plants"? I hear that term used a lot over on the AICN site.

#509 Re: Chris On Screen » Fanboys » 07 Feb 07 :: 21:23

Too funny. It's like beating a dead horse with those guys.

(I wish they were the horse):P

I'm not ripping the guy for having his own opinion, I'm just saying that his movie reviewing skills suck.

really bad.

#511 Re: Chris On Screen » Fanboys » 07 Feb 07 :: 00:01

Found an early review of Fanboys on Harry's site.
I gotta admit, this is one of the worst reviews I have read in recent memory. Regardless of whether or not he liked the movie, the guy just mumbles on and on and on and...well, see for yourself!! smile

Coolness,

Yuppers-> Ken and I are both members of the 501st. We're from the <get ready for this> Dewback Ridge Squadron which is part of the Mountain Garrison which is part of the 501st Legion. (They are the world-wide costuming organization for the Empire. smile )
Those pictures we took of the cast and crew that night at Sam's B-Day party were so that they could be considered honorary members of the 501st.

Hey Ken!!
The Trekkie-Fanboys showdown was my favorite part as well. We definitely got a good workout that day as they made us chase after the van take after take after take....
We all got some wicked sunburns too! big_smile
The SW group here in Albuquerque can't wait to see Ken and his "Infamous Karate Chop" on the Fanboys van.

Hey guys, where is the clip at?

Like a typical guy, I tried looking around for a few minutes...then I finally decided to stop and ask for directions!

#519 Re: All About Chris » Chris at the FX Show in Orlando, FL » 31 Jan 07 :: 21:10

Too funny.
After all the work they had put into the costume, Ken's wife was like, "They better show that Ewok in the movie!! Even if he's just dancing around in the credits. "

Sean, when we get clips from the panel up on the site, you'll hear the gang talking about how much fun they had destroying New Mexico.  I'm sure you'll recognize some of the things they talk about.  Not sure when we'll get the clips up, but we'll let you know.
The clips from the movie were hilarious!  There was also one from the peyote scene with The Chief.  Everyone just about died over Windows' laughter and the Ewok humping Hutch!
Deb

Sweet!! Yea, there's not a whole lot of excitement here in New Mexico, though I will stand by it and say that it is a beautiful state. Lots of fun things to do outdoors. I'd love to hear what they had to say about destroying it, lol.

Oh man, they showed the Ewok hump scene? lol Ken and his wife made that costume!

Sean, Courtney wrote in her blog what they showed in the 10-minute highlight reel of the movie. I'm sure you'll recognize the scenes:
The next scene was the showdown between our fanboys and a group of Treckers.  Some of the arguments were whether the Borg were more kickass than Darth Vadar and whether or not Capt. Picard was gay.

Cool, I didn't get a chance to read all of Courtney's blog, though I did check out the pictures and thought they were awesome(I'm a big Heroes fan too). The show down part is one of the scenes that Ken and I took part in. We stand behind Admiral Seasholtz and try and look tough, then we pretty much get our butts kicked in one way or another, beat on the van as the Fanboys escape, then chase after it down the street. LOL. Can't wait to see that.
Sounds like the clip had some good stuff in it and I do hope that Kyle is able to get it to you guys. That'd be great to check out.

WOW Deb!!

This is just too cool. I'm so happy that you got to see Chris and the rest of the gang once again and despite all the minor setbacks and frustrations, you were able to spend some good quality time with Chris. The pics from both Deb and Courtney were great. It makes me miss when the cast and crew were over here in NM and how excited we all were. It's hard to believe we are coming up on a year since they began filming here. Anyways...
So did they show the 10 minutes of footage from the film? Was it a montage or compilation of scenes or was it a 10 minute chunk of the film? You might of mentioned it already , so I'm sorry if I missed that part. tongue
I haven't been to a big Con since '05 and this really makes me wanna go to another one soon! There's gonna be the Star Wars Celebration IV coming up this May in LA. I haven't heard anything about Fanboys being promoted there yet. If they don't at least do something there, that will be pretty sad. I'll be in costume for a couple of days there, but for one of the days that I'm not, I'll make sure to sport my precious Fanboys shirt !

Glad you all had a good time. Thousands of people will goto the same convention and each one will have their own unique story to tell. I love to hear this kind of stuff!

Sounds like you had a good time Deb.
Glad you're back safely and can't wait to hear how it went for you!!

Hey, Sean, I looked at the Wildfire episode and I think I found the restaurant scene you're in. It's this restaurant with the brown brick walls, right? And, man, I went through that whole scene twice, scanning the background like mad, but I just could not find a waiter that looked like you. Wrong episode? Wrong scene? What are you wearing? Help me out here! wink

That's actually a different scene. I'm in the restaurant with the white walls, and blinds hanging up in the background. I'm wearing a white long sleeve shirt, and a black vest/ Hope that helps!!
