The movie is now available on iTunes (probably US only, but I haven't checked): https://itunes.apple.com/us/movie/the-o … d872471080
The DVD release has now been pushed back to June 17 in the US and July 22 in Canada.
Chris with Autism Today founder Karen Simmons at the film's premiere (from their Facebook):
She also said: "Best actor portraying a grown man with autism since Dustin Hoffman in Rain Man!"
If anyone's interested in catching up with Chris's Strong Medicine episodes, there's a YouTube channel where someone uploaded all the episodes: http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFB5BwVP_MAz3cWfv8dRabw
Chris appears in the following episodes: 1x03 to 1x05, 1x10, 1x12, 1x15, 1x16, 1x18, 1x21, 2x04, 2x08, 2x11, 2x12, 2x16, 2x17, 2x20 to 2x22, 3x01, 3x04, 3x09, 3x17, 3x22, 4x01, 4x03, 4x15, 4x19, 5x06, 5x13, 6x09.
Yeah, I agree. Possibly a good representation of Duncan, but not a good one of Chris. And without actually knowing the movie, I also think it misrepresents the film itself. That cover makes it look like a fun, hippie rock chick road movie. From the trailer, I'd say it's a lot more sophisticated with more substance than the cover suggests.
From the official Facebook:
Here is the new poster from our US distributor. We think it's awesome! Like it if you like it!
I must admit I haven't had the chance to look at it yet, but it's definitely cool! I also found a sound file of the Frightmare panel on Tumblr, not sure if it's the same one: https://soundcloud.com/guts-gory/panel- … -amplified
More pics from Tumblr:
Yep, it is. Such a cool pic!
Found another one on Twitter:
Deb helped me pick out the best Chris screencaps from Kilimanjaro. They're now online in our gallery: http://www.chris-marquette.com/gallery/ … ?album=258
Shame you can't go, Lindsey! I found a few fan photos on Twitter:
Let me guess, smartphone in the left pocket, cigarettes in the right.
Screencaps now here: http://www.chris-marquette.com/gallery/ … ?album=268
Vidcap of Chris's scenes here: https://vimeo.com/92061017
No matter what, I'm sure it looks like an Oscar-caliber masterpiece compared to 10 Rules. ]:D
Oh, it is, although I guess that's kinda like comparing apples and oranges (or rather grapes and melons).
Quick reminder: The DVD and Blu-ray comes out in the US on April 29. I have no idea why it was released in Germany first, but I'm not complaining.
My Blu-ray arrived today, and I sat down and watched it right away. Quite a gritty, violent movie about taking down a crime syndicate in Lousiana. Nothing for the faint of heart. Can't say I was crazy about it, but it was good enough not to want to fast forward.
The movie takes place in 1983, but thankfully Chris wasn't too badly made up. In fact, I actually thought he looked way too modern (except maybe for the slicked back hair -- screencaps to follow in the next few days). The shirt and tailored suit were just too 21st century. He played a rookie FBI agent, had four or five scenes in total, and to my disappointment no Loiusiana accent. Not a huge role, but considering his recent track record, actually not that bad.
Would I recommend this movie? Not unconditionally. Deb, I think you might enjoy it. Anne? Probably not so much. Willem Dafoe was pretty good, as were the other actors. And I still hate Neal McDonough's face. For no particular reason. Good thing he played one of the bad guys.
PS: Chris isn't in the DVD extras -- neither the deleted scenes nor the featurette.
I already pre-ordered my copy. And this time I went to amazon.ca rather than .com because it was a few bucks cheaper. Go figure.
Btw, here's a short Twitter PM conversation I've had with Dave Vescio, the director:
(Don't mind my funky grammar, I have a cold and my head wasn't in it.)
It looks like the 2014 festival already happened, but the website is confusing because it also says something about an upcoming summer event. Chris must have been in one of their plays, because they have photos of him in the press section. He was the guy with the umbrella stuck in his head. Nice wig. (Not.)
Oh, and the movie has a Twitter account now (and they're following us -- yay!): https://twitter.com/theoddwayhome, and a Tumblr too: http://theoddwayhome.tumblr.com/
The craptastic movie now has its own Twitter account. Wish I knew what for.
Well, at least there's a few Chris photos...
I'm not sure what to make of this tweet: https://twitter.com/shannonandswift/sta … 0225233920 Was Chris in a play, or what? Man, I wish he would just advertise his own shit more!
I found this PDF file that says:

Good news, The Odd Way Home has negotiated a release deal. According to Hollywood Reporter and the movie's Facebook page, the movie will get a limited US release in the summer and a DVD release on June 03. Can't wait for the DVD!
how big is his part in 12 years a slave? still wondering if I should see that or not.
Not very. If you'll just see the film for him, don't bother. Though I must say, the film itself is worth watching, although you have to be ready to endure the violence. It doesn't hide anything, and there were two scenes where I actually closed my eyes. It's a story that's important to tell, and to be reminded of, and it stays with you for a while.
So, apparently the film got made. Obviously not with Chris in the role. There's a trailer (in English) on a German movie website that Google alerted me about: http://www.filmstarts.de/nachrichten/18483622.html
A few more photos cropped up on Twitter yesterday and today:
