Southland Tales sounds pretty interesting. Illinois' right--I read some reviews of people who loved it, and others who hated it. I'll have to check it out. I'm always down for some Sci-Fi!
I'm anxious to see the alternate ending for I Am Legend as well. Were there any other extra scenes besides the alternate ending?
Here's my new additions:(I went Disney Crazy)
Heroes Season 1
Dumbo
Fox & the Hound
The Jungle Book
The Little Mermaid
The Tin Man
11:14
Beowulf
30 Days of Night
Bee Movie
Enchanted
Hitman
Atonement
The Deaths of Ian Stone
Wind Chill
That Brill-Solo shirt is hilarious!
oh, and I'm not aware of any kinda of protest here in town, but I know that none of us here are seeing that piece of SuperHero caca. It's an old and overused formula guys. Leave the spoofs to SNL.
Ahh gotcha!! Makes more sense now.
I'm still hoping ol' uncle George puts his foot down about the cancer-plot. That would be the coolest.
Happy Easter everybody!! Have a fun weekend!!
Those Peeps are awesome!!
There's not a doubt in my mind that he could. Look who his dad is
Yea, that dude is such a dork.

Is anyone else worried that maybe Lucas said they couldn't use the Lucasfilm material in the no-plot version so they've reopened the film in order to remove all the sound effects, visuals, etc that they had originally gotten permission to use?... now we are!
I can't see this happen, though it is a valid point/thought.
There's way too many references, visual/verbal/effects, etc. They would have to change the van, ALL the costumes, all of Skywalker Ranch, tons of dialogue--You'd have a 20 minute movie.
If this true, it is awesome news. I was curious how the REAL GL felt about all this and it's good to hear he has an opinion on it. and if he isn't happy about a project dealing with Star Wars, then it's not gonna happen.
Jacen talked me into getting him 101 Dalmatians, and a couple of Backyardigans DVDs.
I also picked up The Office(USA) Season 2, The Simpsons Season 10, and a bunch of UFC DVDs since I'm a sucka for MMA.
Oh, and I finished off Dexter Season one and I LOVED IT!!! Can't wait to see Season two!
That's a good one!
Posted something on theforce.net. Hope it's appropriate, Sean. I read the whole thread and surprisingly, those people don't know half as much as we do about this thing. I just wanted to set the record straight.
Looked great to me Deb!
Hello there Annie!!
Welcome aboard!
I just finished reading the thread and it's funny how much it mirrors our's over here.
Right on,
I was trying to find someone who watched it over on the Star Wars Forums, but I had forgotten about Mindvault.
In case anyone's curious, here's the thread over on the Fan Force pages about the boycott:
So Brill is assuming they didn't show the whole movie at Celebration Europe? I think he's wrong. Can anyone support this? They showed 45 minutes of clips at C IV, I think, but the whole thing at C Europe.
-TeeJay
I know for a fact that the '45 minutes of clips' was shown at C4 which I attended, but my understanding is that the actual 'rough cut' of the film(Cancer Version) was shown at Celebration Europe.
I'll do some more digging.
...and the 'Wine-Stain' one has been deleted. C-ya!
Countered a Weinstein spokesperson: "We are thrilled to see all this great interest and excitement for 'Fanboys.' While a potential conflict like this has not occurred since Luke last walked into that bar in Tatoonie, everyone can be assured that there has been no stir in the force and the film stays on target." Brian Garrity
I'm sorry, but for a spokesman for Fanboys, he could've at least spelled 'Tatooine' right.
Consider it done!
He definitely is losing it.
I will hunt you down f*cker... try me.
Puh-leeze!! The only fight this guy's ever been in was trying to cut a steak with a dull knife.
oh what the heck, here it is:
Check out this Fanboys comic!! :applause:
Yea, I noticed that thread was missing from IMDB.
That's alright, his email is all over the internet now. Can't chase 'em all down now can we Brill?
That's the thing, SW fans WILL love this movie as it was intended. I have no idea how many SW fans there are but it's got to be in the millions. You name any profession and you'll find a SW fan in it. Doctors, lawyers, accountants, IT guys, contractors, gas station attendants, the kid cooking your burger. We're everywhere. We're loyal. We're internet-saavy.We are intelligent. We're everyday people with friends and families.--and we pump billions of dollars into the entertainment business.
So the answer to 'cleaning' up a movie (that thousands of my fellow Star Wars fans gave a standing O to, as well as a movie that I saw a large part of) is to remove the human element from it? You want to 'dirty' it up and add more nudity, and f-bombs to it? Well, the Star Wars movies obviously had lots of nudity and profanity in it, so the fans will love 'my' dumbed-down version.
I'm sorry, but these kinds of movies are for drunk frat boys and teens with nothing better to watch and they're released straight to video with titles such as , "American Pie: Naked Mile" and "Van Wilder 2: The Rise of Taj".
I don't expect a masterpiece from a comedy, but I do not want my intelligence insulted either.
That being said, I understand that there's gonna be some bias when SW fans watch a movie about SW fans. But you must understand that we as SW fans will not just accept any ol' 'fanfilm' and embrace it. We will speak out against it if we don't like something, for example: Jar Jar Binks, Greedo Shooting First, etc..
If Fanboy's wasn't really that good, we wouldn't be praising it.
To also address the non-SW fans. I honestly believe that an (edit) NON-SW fan could appreciate this film. Same way that someone who doesn't listen to KISS could like Detroit Rock City, or someone who doesn't like bowling could like Kingpin. I don't have to like NASCAR in order to like Talledega Nights. These probably aren't the best examples, but you hopefully get my point.
"No one wanted to dumb it down, rip out its heart and throw it into the mulitplex....The cancer element as shot, makes the movie pre digestible, predictable, embarrassing and lame. And if released would be met with a chorus of insane bad reviews bad boxoffice and Kyle Newman would never work again."
Bad Reviews?? Granted, this is Mr. Little Nicky/Heavyweights we're talking about here, so he must have some experience with Bad Reviews, but c'mon. Kyle never working again? That really pisses me off right there. Look at his example of Revenge of the Nerds being cancelled. He tries not to blame Kyle for this, but at the same time he blames Kyle. This guy, Brill, is garbage. I honestly hope that nice guys like Kyle are able to thrive in a business that is made up of no-talent, pieces of trash like Brill. No wonder 'Hollywood' is in so much trouble.
4 out of 5 of those movies are some of my top favs!
Patton, Fargo, Willow, and Memento. Nice pick up!
