Hi Everyone

Hi! My name is London and I'm new here (obviously). I'm 18 years old, live in New York (for two years now-I used to live in CA), a vegetarian, and a senior in high school.  I'm really interested in film and hope I can be apart of the industry one day.  I also enjoy graphic design (Photoshop is always open on my computer) and have a few avatars on a website - http://www.freewebs.com/londonkeiko.
If you want to know anything else about me, just ask. smile

Re: Hi Everyone

Very nice to meet you.  Sounds like you'll fit right in.  I'm a screenwriter.  Live in Atlanta.  You and I might just have a lot to talk about in terms of film.

So, what brings you here?  The three of us got interested in Chris first via Joan Of Arcadia and we've been trying to see all of his work ever since.

Seen Alpha Dog yet?

Roam around the board, sample some of the threads and see if anything interests you.  There are tons of pictures on the message board since we like looking at Chris.  Just so you know.  Even if you don't read them, there's lots of eye candy.

Enjoy!

Re: Hi Everyone

well, I haven't seen any Joan of Arcadia episodes but I have seen Just Friends and The Girl Next Door.  I'm also a fan of Justin Chatwin and saw that Chris is also in the Invisible.

I just saw Alpha Dog on Sunday (for free might I add - my brother & I work at a movie theater:]) and I thought Chris' performance was wonderful.  So today I decided to look up some sites about Chris and learn more about him.. hopefully check out more of his works. smile

Re: Hi Everyone

If you like him even a little bit, you gotta see Joan.  It was a terrific show and Chris blew the doors off the joint.  He created a uniquely beautiful character that will alternately make you giggle and cry your eyes out.  Plus he was dead gorgeous in that show.  Do you have a Netflix membership or downloading abilities?  It's worth a look. He appears in every ep from 1X02 to 2X22.

We have tons of clips in the media section of most of the stuff he's done.  Check some of them out. You might especially be interested in the clips from Huff where he played this weird menacing character opposite Anton Yelchin.

Re: Hi Everyone

I was planning on downloading the series soon (semester finals are this week so yeah, I'm trying to focus more on school).  Actually, the other day, I was at Target and saw the DVD Box Set.. I was seriously thinking of buying it but I had no money with me.. I only went in because my brother had to go to the bathroom. lol

Re: Hi Everyone

Hi London, welcome on the boards.
As you can see, I come from Germany, like Tina. I hope you don't mind that we're silly sometimes, but please know that we're not always like that. LOL

If you want to check out more work of Chris, I'd suggest you American Gun and The Tic Code. They're absolutely beautiful work. Next to Joan, of course. Oh and make sure to check out his Huff episodes once you've seen JoA. wink

Re: Hi Everyone

Yes, yes and yes. You need to see Chris in JoA (Joan of Arcadia), absolutely. If you have enough money to purchase the two box sets, go for it! By all means! Not only is Chris great as Adam Rove, the series itself is wonderful. It's been a long time since I was truly impressed by a TV show as much as I was by JoA. And Chris has way more screen time in JoA than in American Gun, for instance. But what he does on the screen is still great. I can also recommend the Miracles guest role he did, back in 2003. Probably his most agonizing performance. It's certainly at the top of my list.

Huff's also a good one. We've got all the vidcaps on the website, so go and grab some stuff off there if you'd like to get a glimpse before you go out and buy anything.

Re: Hi Everyone

Hi Irina. :]  American Gun is always on TV but I always seem to find it when it's half way into the movie so I never watch it.
I am in the process of downloading the entire JoA series. I can't wait till it's done.. everyone is making me excited. lol

Re: Hi Everyone

Just don't go looking for Chris in the first episode, his first appearance is in episode 1x02. I hope you love the show as much as we do! Let us know what you think.

Re: Hi Everyone

Um, American Gun is not always on TV.  Another movie called American Gun from 2002 with James Coburn is always on.  As far as I know American Gun from 2005 with Marcia and Chris and Forest Whitaker and Donald Sutherland and Linda Cardellini has yet to make its cable debut.  If I'm wrong, please let me know.  But it shouldn't be too long now before it starts playing.

And pay attention to the upcoming Independent Spirit Awards. The movie is up for a few of them.

Re: Hi Everyone

Yeah maybe it's that American Gun.  I'm not really sure, I usually just see American Gun & don't bother checking the year or anything.

Hi London. smile New York always seemed like an awesome city to me, just the energy. Quite different from any place here in New Zealand, anyway.

Yeah, there are a few cities in the world that I like to visit and New York is pretty high on that list.

Re: Hi Everyone

New York is over two hours away from where and I only go once a year (Christmas time) for about a day to visit family. I lived in Manhattan when I was little.. don't really remember much but my older sister said she loved it & wants to move back soon.
