I found this on the net and it looks like the UK release got 4 postcards with the DVD.
Just wondering if anyone has scans of these postcards.

Postcards? Cool! Why don't we have them in Germany?

We might. None of us has taken a look at the German DVD set yet, have we? Is it even out yet? I can't remember, I seem to recall release date for the DVD was in August, but I might be wrong.

3 actors from Alpha Dog were named among the Starpulse's Top 10 Underrated Celebrities.
Olivia Wilde is an actress that not many people know. However, if you ask them who played Marisa Cooper's first, and only, girlfriend on Fox's "The OC," some light bulbs may go off. She first started off on the short-lived TV series "Skin." She has appeared in two movies: "Alpha Dog" and "Turistas" and starred in the short-lived, and one of the best series that year, "The Black Donnellys." Currently Wilde is appearing as fellowship finalist Thirteen on Fox's "House." Her stint on "House" should give her a boost in Hollywood.
Ben Foster has been in the movies since 1996 and is finally getting some recognition for his work. Though the movie "Alpha Dog" was a dud, Foster received a lot of recognition for his role as Jake Mazursky, the brother of the boy who was kidnapped and killed and won a Young Hollywood Award. Foster has appeared in other movies: "Hostage," "The Laramie Project," "3:10 to Yuma" and "30 Days Of Night." Foster has also received several nominations for his role as Russel Corwin in the series "Six Feet Under." Foster has one movie in the works.
Emile Hirsch is a relatively unknown actor but is starting to get recognition after his stand-out performance in "Into The Wild," in which Sean Penn snatched him up for the role. Next, Hirsch can add action credits to his resume when he appears in the anticipated film "Speed Racer." Hirsch is proving that he can do just about anything, and he's here to stay.

I've read that Speed Racer is a MESS. I hope that's not true. It could be such a fun movie.
I didn't know Olivia was on House until I caught a glimpse of her last night.
And we kind of know a tiny something about the movie Ben Foster has in the works, but we can't reveal it yet. It involves another AD alum though. We'll post it as soon as it's confirmed.

If Chris was in a lot of the deleted scenes, then I'm beyond infuriated that I still haven't had a chance to see them on the Alpha Dog dvd.

That is if you can call it a performance. He absolutely ruined the movie for me. Every scene he was in, he was absolutely ridiculous. "Okay, let's go smoke some F'CKING weed!", who says that? You might say "Okay let's go smoke some f'cking weed" but you don't need to pronounce it like it's the best thing to happen to you in a million years! Pretty much every time his face was on screen I wanted to punch a hole through my TV set. I was actually praying that one of the other characters would find a reason to gun him down or something, that would have actually had me cheering! When he was jumping up and down on the diving board like a retard, I was convinced Emile Hirsch was going to do something, but unfortunately he didn't.

Oh well, can't please everyone, I guess. This guy obviously doesn't know how these rich-kid guys get when there's weed or drugs involved. Not that I have first-hand experience, but I can imagine that for an addict your next joint or shot is what you think is the best thing to happen to you in a million years.

I answered his post as well. I just don't see why people think they'll evoke lots of responses by going to an actor's IMDb board and saying they hated him in a movie he did. Don't they realize that it's mostly fans who go to those boards? Though we've learned that on IMDb it's different sometimes...

That guy is an idiot!!! Deb, do you remember that hershey girl? She should be banned from IMDB.

Yeah, hershey and I just danced a few rounds recently. Then she asked a normal question like a decent human being and threw me off completely. No idea what her trip is.

I know many on here hate how Universal handled the theatrical run of this film, but at least they did a better job than Sony is doing with AD's Justin Timberlake's film Southland Tales.
Last week they released it on 63 or so theaters nationwide and of course it bombed and made less than $175,000 by the following Monday. I have read that it is already being pulled from more theaters. This is after they bought the distribution rights and spent more money for FX shots. Why in the world did they even bother with a theatrical run to only put it on 63 screens? What did they expect?
I for one can't wait for the DVD of that film.
Getting back to AD, recently Universal announced an Anniversary Edition of the "classic" film starring Michael Jackson called The Wiz. Now the original release was back in 1999 or so, so it took them 8 years to release a better version. So I guess there is always hope that Universal will release a better version of AD sooner then later.
Offline
Yes, but Southland Tales is an inherently difficult film to market. You're right, what they did was ridiculous. But that movie has turned into something of a nightmare for them. Guess we'll all have to wait for DVD now, huh?

I was searching the net and found this.
Seems that Austrailia is getting a Special Edition and a Limited Edition.

http://www.videoezy.com.au/default.aspx … emId=43726
What's weird is that they show both editions have the same exact Special Features that the U.S. got.
