I think Doree was planning on seeing it in Ottawa. If she makes it, I guess she's gonna be the first Dorquette to see the movie. Yay for Doree! :dancing: I'm gonna wait a little with ordering the DVD. It's really expensive. I know it's kinda stupid because I have the money to buy it, but something in me just doesn't wanna pay €25 for a DVD that most likely won't have a lot of extras and isn't all that special (apart from the fact that Chris is in the movie).

Not all that special? You sure have been advocating awfully hard for something you don't even wanna buy. I've been really looking forward to this one. His role is substantial, bigger than RTD or RTWM. It's a total buy. Too bad my DVD writer's dead, huh?

I didn't mean to imply that the movie isn't special. I meant the DVD. You know, like it doesn't have a special case or anything special about it. I don't know exactly what extras are gonna be on it, but it doesn't sound like it's gonna be something that'll warrant for the DVD to cost $29.99. It might be stupid, but it's just one of my principles to not buy a DVD for more than 15 EUR unless there's something really special about it. And it just seems there isn't anything special about this DVD. I'm still really looking forward to watching the movie, but not enough to want to spend 25 EUR on it. I've been waiting for this one for so long, another few weeks isn't gonna make much of a difference right now.

ok, so i just watched it. my opinion is that chris is the best thing about this movie.
i mean the movie is not bad, don't get me wrong. the idea is good but is somehow not really taken anywhere. it's all a little to obvious.
jason ritter is good and i really belived him in this role. jesse eisenberg ( i hope i got the name right ) did not convince me that much. he suppose to be dorky, yet endearing but somehow it just all looked to me somehow clumsy and overacted.
but chris is so good.and i am not just saying this because i'm on a chris forum the first part with him as a kid is a little funny. but from then on he just is so real. it's not the most challenging role in the world but it is very well done.

Yeah, Amazon still has it as June 30. I think it may mean that netflix isn't going to have it. Which would be a pain.

Strangely enough, dvdboxoffice.com also doesn't list it anymore. They had it listed before I almost ordered it there a week or so ago. So maybe there is something going on with the release date. Great.
