This is a photo from Kyle Rankin's MySpace when they filmed the little teaser called "INSEX" (which you can see on the official Infestation website when you click on Directorial Examples). I think it's Kyle himself on the photo.

Now, can you imagine Chris shooting a whole movie with fake bugs like that?

News from Tisha:

Looks like shooting is close to wrapping on Infestation because Chris is coming home from Bulgaria in 8 days! Kyle Rankin must've run a great set because it looks like everything is right on time. Tisha also said she doesn't think Chris will be keen on booking something out of the country again for a while. I'm sure he had fun but felt a bit homesick.

So maybe he'll be able to pop down to San Diego for Comic Con after all!

Yay! SD Comic Con is end of July, so it sounds like he might just make it. Let's still cross our fingers for Dragon Con. I'm gonna pop Frosty an e-mail and ask if he knows anything. I'd love to send you over to San Diego, Deb, but I don't think I can fund your trip there and my trip to Atlanta this year, and possibly another one in January.

Well, looks like Chris is indeed home now. Someone posted on IMDb that he (I think it was a guy) met him at a Starbucks in LA yesterday and that Chris actually started a conversation with him.

Six weeks, but it was also scheduled for six weeks originally, so it looks like they finished everything in time. I'm guessing that they shot only the outside stuff in Bulgaria and might be doing some more studio work in LA. Because when I asked Chris if he was going to be in London for the Star Wars con, he said he was going to be working on Infestation on those days (and that's this weekend). But then again, maybe he just didn't have his schedule down. He's been known to mix up dates before (he said in an interview that he was at the FX Show in December, but FX was end of January.). Not that I wanna accuse him of being forgetful or disorganized...

Since I assume a lot of work for Infestation will be done via special effects and CGI, it might just be that Chris will have to do addional studio shoots for that.

Maybe we'll hear from Chris before long. We'll keep you posted. I'd love to hear something from him about the shoot and his Bulgarian adventures!

We just heard back from writer/director Kyle Rankin and he told us that shooting has wrapped for Infestation and the movie's going into post-production now. Kyle is very happy with what they captured on camera and also said Chris is (I quote) "a joy to work with" and that he "couldn't be more thrilled with the work a certain Mr. Marquette did". Stay tuned because a new official website is also in the works!

He's supposed to be 25 in Fanboys, so I guess that is grown-up. But Infestation is also his first lead role, I would say. We used to think that Calvin Marshall would be his first lead but since that project has died, I guess now it's Infestation. And I wanna see pictures of Cooper NOW!!! :drool:

I wonder if girly screams fit into the script? I mean, it's about aliens coming to rule the earth, so I guess there will be screams involved, but girly ones? Well, we have to wait and see.

Yeah, but he's a slacker who really doesn't wanna save the world, so I think we might get at least one girly scream. We should ask Rankin if he took our advice and made Chris shave and let him kiss the girl and cry at least once.
