Honey(s), I'm hooooome! Had a great time in the UK, visiting one of my oldest, bestest friends (and her husband). Photos to follow. Just wish I didn't have to go back to work on Tuesday. And it seems like I brought a cold home with me. Hope it doesn't develop into anything nasty.

Just thought I'd let you know I'll be AWOL for the next two days. I'm leaving tomorrow morning and will be back the evening of Jan 01 (though I might go straight to bed).

Thus I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year, hope you all make the "slide" over into the new year intact and well. See you all in 2009!

I'll see you guys in the same-ish time zone tomorrow (at least for most of you), I'm off to Maryland and then North Carolina for 10 days. It's another business trip, so it won't all be fun. But there will be some fun. And photos.

Nice to see you, Hoops. Hope you have a great trip. I've only been to Chicago once. My friend Elaine dragged me there for a baseball game at Wrigley after my mom died, trying to help me through it and all. It was only for a weekend, so the game was the only big thing we did. There was this big boat launch festival going on too, I don't remember what it was called. That really cool. I felt kinda claustrophobic there, truthfully. It's a very crowded city. But I'd definitely like to see more of it someday.

Sorry, Arcadia wasn't on our route. It's kinda cool that I was in four different states (if you include DC) in nine days. Doesn't Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants play in Bethesda? Our hotel was in Bethesda (which wasn't very spectacular).

We were two or three weeks too early for the cherry blossoms, unfortunately. Wish we could have seen that, it must be absolutely beautiful.

Off to Vienna tomorrow afternoon with no internet until Wednesday afternoon. Wish it wasn't a business trip because I'd love to see more of Vienna. Chances are, there's not gonna be a lot of time (if any) for sightseeing.
