That's not all it took.   I think it started when I popped the first season of Veronica Mars into my DVD player... that was two years ago.   On VM she was never quite so... out there.

Hehe.  Try to find some new pics of Chris, feed the masses.  I had to put in my VM DVDs and she just ran up a set of stairs in a short skirt and long boots... I'm gonna stop now :embarrassed:

You think he went to some New Year's party last night? I already looked on Wire and Getty this afternoon, but came up zilch. But that might have been too early.

Re: Fanboys

You think this is a bad pic?

normal_NewYears2005-2006_03.jpg

I love that pic!  Of course, I prefer the one where TeeJay got rid of the flower in Amber's hair and put a better dress on her.  LOL!

It's my wallpaper almost all the time, including right now because I think of it as Adam and Joan at 22, in Butterflies, dancing at the resort on their almost elopement.  It has always inspired me in many ways. wink

Of course I love that pic. Deb. It was just quite of a "shock" two years ago when I saw it for the first time because I wasn't very fond of facial hair then.

I kinda wish that too sometimes.  But she's a wild woman.  Not sure he could deal with that.  He's pretty low-key.

Re: Fanboys

Yeah, on screen chemistry and real life dating chemistry are two totally different things.  Yes, they make a cute couple and they're probably good friends but no way they'd be compatible knowing what we know about each of their personalities.   They aren't Adam and Joan.   Well... they are... you know what I mean.  I'd rather Chris and Amber not be our Adam Brody and Rachel Bilson.

I can't see Amber and Chris as a couple in real life, but they definitely had a lot of chemistry on JoA. But I hope they're good friends in real life.

According to Di they are.  And Di says she was really impressed with Amber when she met her and that they became "fast friends".

Re: Fanboys

For those who haven't listened to the interview with Chris and Kyle on Sunday, here's some information I summarized from what they said that sheds a bit of light on what's going on with the movie:

In 2007 it was announced that Kyle Newman was given additional funding to shoot new scenes they didn't have money for before. Getting the cast back together wasn't all that easy. They were supposed to be underway with the reshoots around September 2007, but that didn't work out. They finally got everyone back together for the inserts in November/December 2007.

In the January 2008 interview, Chris and Kyle were asked if they could share information about the new scenes and if and how they would affect the storyline of the movie. They didn't give us any specific information, but Chris said they're "changing the movie around a little bit" and Kyle said they shot a few things they were "experimenting with" (and we can only speculate what that is supposed to mean). Also, a few things were shot that Kyle knew the movie needed that he had wanted to do for a long time.

Kyle told us The Weinstein Company has aspirations to release it as a larger comedy and we can only hope that the additonal scenes (which surprisingly were not directed by Kyle Newman) will mean they're making Fanboys even better than it was before. We all know there was a reason why Kyle got three standing ovations from the 1500+ Star Wars fans at Celebration Europe who watched a rough-cut of the whole movie in summer 2007. Let's hope the Weinsteins don't mess with that!

Right now the movie's release date is TBA (to be announced). Word is that it's gonna be a gonna come out in March or April 2008. Hopefully the movie will finally make its round in US theaters this spring. Europeans, fear not. Kyle said a worldwide release is definitely planned.

On another note, I'm not sure if we ever mentioned it here or on the site, but Kyle talked about it before in an older interview and they mentioned it again in this one. Chris initially read for two roles--the one of Linus and the one of Eric. Kyle wasn't sure what part he wanted Chris to play. He made Chris a very big compliment by saying that he feels that Chris is one of the actors of his generation who excel at being very emotional on one hand, and on the other can be hilariously funny.

So in the end they picked Linus for Chris to play, and Chris himself said that in retrospect he's very glad about that because he fell in love with the part more than anything. I think I prefer Chris playing Linus over him playing Eric as well.

Re: Fanboys

Yeah, that just about says it all.  And I think we're all glad Chris is playing Linus instead of Eric.  Linus the character everyone's going to remember after it's over.  Especially if that very special camping scene remains intact.

LINUS MUST DIE!
