never would have expected....

...my mom to let me do this but she did. So I have a cat named Eli..!G...original huh? lol anyway she told me she saw a male cat that she wanted and I needed to think of a name. So just kind gong out on a limb I said "linus." She laughed and I figured she'd call me an idiot or something, but she said it was kind cute and would consider it. Sorry for the randomness, but I am so very bored.:P

Re: never would have expected....

I think Linus is a perfect name for a cat. I have no idea what I'd name mine if I had one. All of Chris-related names are already taken by something another: Cooper, Travis, George, Adam, Miles, Linus, ...

PS: My work laptop is called Linus as well. Guess after whom.

I can't talk about this (Deb hangs head in shame and walks away).  I have named a couple of things, but we just don't talk about it here.  :embarrassed:

Re: never would have expected....

I have a plant in my office named Travis and one named George (well, actually there's George I. and George II.). My car is named Jane and my keychain for the car key is named Adam (it's a little donkey--I posted a pic last night). I have a thing about naming certain things. Cars and computers always have to have a name!

Re: never would have expected....

Wasn't Linderman originally his last name in the movie? I remember something that his first name was Charlie.
I named my laptop Cooper after I got it because it was shortly after we learned about infestation. I thought that was a good reason to call it Cooper. LOL

Re: never would have expected....

Re: never would have expected....

Charlie is a very common name in TV and movie business I think. There is the Numb3rs Charlie, there was the Lost Charlie ... big_smile

Re: never would have expected....

yep but...you dont hear Linderman everyday. Which also means if someone were to come over and ask why my dog or cat or whatever's name is Linderman I would have to put put my head down and mumble something like "I  dont know...it just came to me."haha

Re: never would have expected....

You could just say you named him after the character in FVJ, what's the problem about it? Well, it's a crappy movie but Linderman was worth watching it at least once. wink

Re: never would have expected....

Yeah the movie isnt that greatest, but it is more or less the fact that my firends think I am crazy for obsessing over Chris. I get enough crap from them for buying all his movie that I can get ahold of, talking about him, being on this site and buying stuff that reminds me of him. If I said I named it after a Chris character they would just give me more crap lol

Re: never would have expected....

To me, Linderman will always be the big, hulking, adorable character Adam Baldwin played in one of my all time favorite movies, My Bodyguard.  I wouldn't have a problem naming someone/thing that.

I was going to name my new car that I got last October "Max", until Revenge Of The Nerds got cancelled.  He still doesn't have a name.  sad
