It is finally coming out Tuesday. I am so excited! I have seen it sooo many times already. I don't get why so many people say it sucked even though it did so well in the box office.hmpf...

It's coming to the cinemas here soon. At first I thought I wouldn't wanna see it, but I saw a trailer the other day and it does look quite good. So maybe I'm gonna watch it after all.

I haven't heard much about it, but I think it's worth checking out. I saw the trailer and it reminded me a little of "Rear Window". One of my favorite Hitchcock movies. I'll rent it tomorrow and hopefully watch it by this weekend.

A little? Can you say Gen-Y remake? No thanks, you can keep it.

Okay, I got to watch this last night...Without a doubt, it's definitely a modern-day telling of "Rear Window", though I don't recall seeing anywhere that this was being labeled as a re-make. It's worth a rental if you have nothing better to do, even though it is incredibly predictable.
With that being said, it was still entertaining and I am quickly gaining respect for Shia as one of the better younger actors of today. Don't worry, I still like Chris and Sam better!

Rob and I will go watch it on Aug 13th, actually. It's being shown in OV at this year's Fantasy Film Fest. But I will go in not expecting too much. I'll probably have to hold Rob's hand, too. He looked at the trailer today and said to me: This is gonna scare the bejesus out of me. And I said: So you don't wanna go? And he said: Yes, I wanna go. Looks cool.

It wasn't called a remake, Sean. Which just made it seem like a total ripoff to me. And there's nobody in it that I care about so it's big, fat pass.
I've got Children Of Men checked out right now. Just need to to watch it sometime this week. Now that looks great. And original.

I saw Children of Men in the plane on the way to Australia. It was an okay movie. Very dark and depressing. I liked it less than I thought I would, but maybe that's due to the fact that I watched it on a tiny screen with crappy headphones, being interrupted by flight attendants all the time. It's one of the movies that Chris mentioned when we asked him what he's seen lately at FX in January.

Children of Men wasn't too shabby. Had a cool storyline but could've been better in my opinion(I heard it's better upon a second viewing)-- but there were some really cool parts in it. Tina's right, very dark and depressing. Watch the special features after the film. They talk about some of the filming techniques they used which was very interesting and supposedly 'new'. There's one particular scene in the movie that's one long 10+ minute shot of action, dialogue, fighting, etc that's really impressive. You'll see what I mean(When they're in the car) ...

I don't mind dark and depressing if there's a STORY associated with it. You know, it's not just torture porn. Everything I've read about this movie screams that I'll love it. I'll do as you said Sean. I love special features.

I didn't find Children Of Men (which I just finished watching) depressing. Sure it's always a bummer when the hero (SPOILER ALERT!) dies. But it was a crazy-brilliant movie. Great music. Insanely inventive and fascinating, this future they created. I really enjoyed it. It had a real oppressive sense of jeopardy all the way through it and it moved at a relentless pace. Kept me on the edge of my seat. Plus, Clive Owen is just always so wonderful. And Michael Caine was a hoot. Kinda wish I'd seen it in the theatre.

Just came home from watching Disturbia. I loved it. Much better than I expected. It really drew me in, and of course the chill and thrill was there at the right moments. Rob jumped next to me in his seat once or twice. And I thought Shia was great in it (sorry, Deb). I also loved David Morse. He's one of those guys you see the face of all the time but never really remember his name.
Not sure I love it enough to buy the DVD. Maybe one day, when I find it in the bargain bin for less than 10 EUR.

No one's asking you to watch it. I just really liked it, and I didn't think I would like it as much as I did, actually.
LOL, here's a funny coincidence. In the movie A.W.O.L. David Morse played a character called Marquette.

Brenna, I'd actually LOVE it if Chris and Shia did another something together so people could see how UN-alike they are.

It's not like I love David Morse because he's cute or handsome or anything. He's just a good actor. He totally creeped me out in Disturbia. But then he was supposed to, so I guess he did his job very well.
What actually positively surprised me about Disturbia was that it was different than the trailer suggested. Sure, all the action and suspsense was there, but what's shown in the trailer is really only the last third of the movie, the part that's about Kale stalking the killer. The first two thirds are more about family and tragedy and boy-meets-girl and, well, life in Suburbia. Or should I say life in Disturbia? I really liked that it wasn't only about "boy brings down killer", gave it a lot more substance and depth. Not that it's a deep movie, but this way it had way more depth than I expected.

yeah I know cause he is far from cute. He is a good actor though I agree. It is just that he creeps me out way to much. He does in every movie.

I just rented this the other day and watched it with my friend. I think we went through every emotion possible in about five minutes. Like TeeJay said, the last third or so is the suspenseful stuff and we were both screaming and going crazy for about twenty minutes. Why don't the people on the TV listen when I say "DON'T GO IN THERE!"?
We were laughing our butts off for the first half of it and then suddenly it's like "... oh shit". I agree that David Morse was amazing in this, it wouldn't have been the same if someone else played Turner. I'm sorry too, Deb, I think it's great. And I love Mr. Busyhead too
