Re: Amber Tamblyn

My mom has no wisdom teeth at all and I have, if at all, only one, I think. But it never came out. I'm okay with that and I don't plan on getting it removed.

Re: Amber Tamblyn

Mine where pulled before they came out.  I'd just had my braces taken off, and the orthodontist said they'd push my teeth out of alignment if they didn't get them out of there.  So they went in after them.  All four.  The horror!

Re: Amber Tamblyn

I got all 4 taken out at once too! Only 2 were playing up but they decided it would be easier to just take them all out. Couple of grand to end up with no cool pain meds, and a face so swollen it blocked your eyesight for 2 days hmmm...i think it was a bad plan. But it was only really 3 days that i had issues for. I was still kinda swollen and bruised for like a week later, but it was easy enough to cover up. My brother looked completely fine after 2 days. Couldnt even see any swelling or anything. But he kept complaining for like 2 weeks. Hahaha

I used to have a big gap between my teeth (i actually loved it) used to push a 50cent coin through for laughs from people. But my wisdoms pushed them together. I didnt even notice that i lost most of my gap. Its now only a little bit there. I have been told for the longest time that i should get braces, but i actually like my smile and i dont wanna risk paying thousands just to end up with something im not happy with. That and i was also told the easiest way for me to get it done would be to break my jaw and reset it. NO THANKS.

Re: Amber Tamblyn

I couldn't get mine out if I wanted to.  In America these days our ass-sucking insurance for the most part does not cover wisdom tooth extraction.  Even though it's so commonly truly necessary.  This is why we need reform.  And why rethugs suck.

Re: Amber Tamblyn

I saw Sprinbreak yesterday. It was pretty stupid and funny. Like a parody of it's self, parody of comedies of that type. I loved Amber in it. She was a lot like Joan, but it was like watching Joan break out of her good girl-routine. Also, one thing that Amber's character did made me think of her character in Sisterhood. Maybe she was making a parody of her self, too?

I bought Spring Breakdown about a month ago. I enjoyed it and liked Amber's character greatly.

Spring Breakdown is a movie I yet have to see. I'll check if CD-WOW has it.

Wow, OK, that was pretty good.  Not like I thought it would be.  Amber was fantastic in it, as always.  And really beautiful, too.  I loved her hair.

Re: Amber Tamblyn

I went to Borders today and they had Amber's new book. Only two copies left though. I bought Bang Ditto with a 40% off coupon and with tax it was only $10.27. I can't wait to start reading it.

Re: Amber Tamblyn

What a great deal!   I'll have to wait till I get paid on the 15th, but I'm definitely getting it as soon as I possibly can.  Like at lunch that day.  LOL!

Told ya!  Someone wrote a JoA fic based on Spiral.  That guy who did all the paintings showed up in an art seminar that Helen was taking.  And Helen wanted to know why this weirdo had a nude painting of her 17-year-old daughter.  Hijinks ensued.:D

Re: Amber Tamblyn

LOL!  That sounds great.  I'll have to look it up.  I can't even remember why I was so scared of Spiral.  I think I read some review that made it sound a lot more disturbing than it actually was.

It's disturbing, just not "Saw"/"Hostel" disturbing!  More suspenseful than gory.  I think some of the DVD extras were worth seeing.  If you liked it you might want to check them/it out.

Re: Amber Tamblyn

Oh, great.  I'll put it in the Netflix que. Thanks!  I think I was afraid it was really gonna mess with my head like An American Crime.  Not even close.  I actually kinda see Spiral as more of a very black comedy than a horror film.

I could only find this clip about Amber in Fallon. Did anyone see the episode? Did she have an actual interview too?

Re: Amber Tamblyn

Yes, she was interviewed first about Bang Tango and the new movie with Michael Douglas.  Then they did the cooking segment.

Re: Amber Tamblyn

I lost focus during that segment because the men were talking too much and she got pushed to the side.  I'll have to re-watch it.

I loved how in Taking Woodstock, Elliot (Demetri Martin) was the kind of Jew who went to the local diner and ordered "the usual, with extra bacon".  lol

Well she was most likely just being a good sport, but she did eat some.  I just like it because that's exactly the kind of vegetarian I am. tongue
