Wow, I just learned 127 hours is nominated for a BAFTA award in the Outstanding British Film category. I never knew it was a British film, but I still think it's cool, of course. And Danny Boyle is also nominated as best director for the film.

Yeah, I kind of figured that. But I can dream, right? I really hope this movie will make it to my theatre soon.

And hey, since when does it matter how much someone is in a movie? I thought the performance counts!

Yeah, but pretty much all she and Kate Mara do is look cute, giggle and make googly eyes at James for about 5 minutes and then they're gone. Not exactly a showcase for her immense acting skills. Kinda like Chris on Weeds.

As soon as 127 Hours is on dvd I'm seeing it. I've been waiting so long and just my luck it was never playing anywhere near me..

She did the giggles and googly eyes pretty well though! It was nice to see her in a movie, even if it was a little part.

I agree. And I love Kate Mara too. I loved the movie and was proud of everyone concerned. I know she was thrilled to be part of it.

BTW, the ep of House that airs two weeks from now looks like it might be the beginning of the end of Amber's tenure on the show. Big, heavy drama coming and she's right in the thick of it. Can't wait!

I was shopping today and while in a bookstore, I ordered Amber's first poetry book in paperbag to my local bookstore. Might take two weeks, or less. depends on how the weather holds the planes etc.

BTW, I went to see 127 hours today. It's a good movie but it didn't flash me as much as Black Swan did. Kudos to Aron Ralston, I don't think I'd be able to cut off my own arm. A woman in the row behind me was literally gasping when she heard the bones break ....

Hahaha lucky us....although that fact kinda does make me like her more. I knew she was a free spirit but this just makes me wanna hug her and be like, YES you let loose and that is ok! So many stars I think are so pressured to only show themselves in a good light. Which usually wouldnt be such a bad thing, but I think that is where things like Tiger Woods happens. No-one is completely squeaky clean, and I love that Amber embraces that about herself!

All you gotta do to know that she has no shame is read her books. They're so naughty! I love that about her. She just is who she is. But I also feel like she's incredibly mature for her age and knows how to keep her wild streak in check enough not to be a jerk.
