I only got about halfway through it last night. David's being kinda douchy, which doesn't fit with Amber's sincerity in the interview. That was off-putting.

Yes, I've heard about it. Directly from Amber in fact. It was one of the things she talked about in the interview. The trailer was posted here a while back and I think it looks great. My kind of movie. I thought it was going direct to DVD though so it's good news that it's going to have some theatrical exposure.

A little strange maybe. There is not much "plot" like in a normal movie, some characters just have their own storylines and they are all connected to each other in one or another way. But Amber does a great performance. Orlando Bloom plays her boyfriend (or at least his character thinks he is her boyfriend) and they don't even share a kiss! Kinda disappointing. LOL And it's a really unusual experience to see Colin Firth, who is British, as a Texan.

Finally saw Main Street yesterday. Can't say I loved it, but I didn't hate it. It's just kind of bland. Not much really happens. And OMG the extras are the most boring things I've ever seen in my life!

Amber's beautiful in it, but she doesn't have a whole lot to do. Orlando Bloom is totally wasted too. They even managed to make Colin Firth uninteresting. And that ain't easy because the man has charm for miles.

Wasn't crazy about that movie either.....but Amber's always pretty. For the great cast that they put together for it you'd think it would be a better movie. Oh well.

Only made it about 45 minutes in before I gave up. Colin Firth did 2 things he never should do in movies..smile (he is the rare screen presence which is more appealling when not smiling) ...and do an "american" accent. It was probably the worst american accent I have ever heard...

I disagree about his smile. It's radiant. Ever seen Valmont? Firthy could charm the iron pants off a knight's bride.
