Illinoisguy, I LOVE "Young Frankenstein"! I bought that one a year ago, and I bought "Blazing Saddles" at the same time. Some people prefer "Blazing Saddles", but I'm crazy about YF. Both are definitely Mel Brooks at the top of his game.
There was a 'making of' documentary about it a couple of years ago. It was really interesting. I think they had a bunch of the old sets and props from the James Whale Frankenstein movies from the 30s.

I wanted one from up the tree, but I couldn't find exactly what I wanted and, since I was feeling kinda weird being avatar-less, and since I love "me, neither", too, so here we are!

I can probably make you one with him in the tree, if you want.

Little bit. I'm more annoyed at a bunch of stuff than depressed like I was last night.

Just got these from a used dvd store. Each was $5.
Mary Poppins was still sealed.

Thanks, Laura! That's so sweet. I really like this one. One of these days I'll do a screen cap and find exactly the expression I want. When I do, maybe I can get you to give me a "how-to" lesson in avatars.
ARE you feeling better, by the way?
Illinoisguy1, that's great! I've added a lot of great DVDs for my collection from Half Price Books. I don't know if they're in the rest of the country, but they sometimes have fantastic deals. I've gotten nearly-new disks for less than 5 bucks that would've been at least twenty on Amazon. It's feast or famine, though. Sometimes when you go in all they have is a cubic ton or romance novels. But, if you watch, you can make out like a bandit.

I already made and posted three tree avatars :embarrassed:
I'm fine. My brother just made me late for school today and we yelled at each other basically the whole way there. Not exactly a good start to the day...

I must be one of the few around, but I've never seen Lion King. I bought it because I know it's OOP and goes for well over $20 on Ebay. I hope it's good.
As for Mary Poppins, I have the original bare-bones release from 1998 or so, but never got around to buying the 2 disc set. I couldn't pass up an unopened copy for just $5. I think Best Buy had it on sale a few months ago for $15. I'm glad I waited.

I think you'll love TLK. Mary Poppins is great, too, as you know. I'll never forget the scene with Dick Van Dyke and Ed Wynn and laughing so hard that they floated up to the ceiling. Great stuff!

The most recent movies I've seen are Hairspray, The Game Plan, and SAW IV.

Picked this up at Wal-Mart for $11.
Already own LW4 and the theatrical versions of 1 & 2. Never got around to buying LW3 at all or the Director's Cuts so this was very good.
What's also good is that they are all in Widescreen.
Some of the "Family" films in this '4 Film Favorites' series are only in Full Screen. Don't know why WB thinks families only want Full Screen or those that like Family Films want Full Screen over Widescreen, but no thanks to those.

Best Buy and Target have some TV on DVD sets for $15 each, so likely will go over and buy a few sets tomorrow morning.

Let me know what TV sets, Illinois. Always looking out for a few.

I only ever saw VM once time, when Alyson Hannigan was a guest star. But most people who watched it, loved it.

I got to price match Firefly at BB for $14.88.
They had lots of Smallville & Veronica Mars, but they had Brothers and Sisters for $19.99 even though it was listed in the ad for $27.99. So I got that because I really like Sally Field. Never saw the show, so it's a blind buy for me.

I can't wait to buy Shrek the 3rd!!! Its the only Shrek movie I love!! The cat is sooo cute. I really want that beanie baby.

I liked Shrek the Third. It had more of a story, less jokes and seems to have a more darker tone than the others.
Regarding the Wal-Mart exclusive Beanie Baby, they also have Donkey and bother either come with the Full Screen (aka Fool Screen) or Widescreen.
It has what video format at the very top on the front cover.
Of course I got the Widescreen version.
