It's good. Takes a while to suck you in, but once you're there, you're there. When you watch it, let us know what you think.

I just purchased a DVD online.
Love Michael Palin. I have all his other travel series too, some of the older ones on VHS. I really need to copy them to DVD some time. I'm hoping to get the matching book for my birthday. I haven't even read the Himalaya one yet, but it's a large hardcover book, not very handy to read. Maybe that'll be the next thing I'm taking with me to the gym to read while I'm on the crosstrainer.

Got done watching Labyrinth. All I can say is what a strange movie.
While the puppets are better than in Dark Crystal, I liked Dark Crystal better. For me DC had a better storyline than Labyrinth did. Bowie was very strange and I didn't really care for the songs in it at all. I have to say that my favorite puppet character is that little guy who guarded the bridge and rides around on the dog.
I have already watched the first 3 discs of Heroes, and I really like it/ My favorite characters (sorry don't know the character names by heart yet) is the guy who can travel through time, the lady who has 2 personalities and one that really kicks butt, the cheerleader and the younger brother who flies. My "Oh my gosh" moment was when the young guy was on the train and everyone froze and the guy that time travels comes and gives him the message.
It does get a tad confusing with the non-linear storytelling, but I like it in this show. Not sorry I bought it at all. A very good blind buy.
Right now I'm watching the Planet of the Apes marathon on AMC. I really need to get that set on DVD.

There's an Apes marathon on AMC today? Damn, why do I have to be at work? Not that I haven't seen them all a thousand times. Except for Beneath which is so silly I can barely stand it and Roddy McDowall's not in it so it doesn't really count anyway. Conquest is my favorite because Roddy's incredible in it. It was his favorite too. And Escape is a lot of fun.
Hiro is my favorite Hero, too! He's just so damn cute. :-)

I can't remember if it was from a recommendation from someone on this board, or somewhere else, but I picked up "Brother's Keeper" last night and watched it immediately. I haven't been able to get it out of my head all day today. It's a documentary from the early 90's about 4 elderly brothers who live together in a 2 room shack on a farm. One of the men-who was very ill-dies overnight and another brother is accused of murder in a mercy killing fashion. It's an amazing story--I'd definitely suggest checking this one out.

Sounds like a good movie Sean. I'll watch it sometime.

I didn't purchase this, but my friend (guy, mind you) got me a late Christmas gift and it was the Suite Life of Zack and Cody DVD (still wrapped). I felt a little odd 'cuz though I watch it occasionally, I'm not a huge fan. If anything, he should have gotten me a Hannah Montana DVD! Haha. I dislike Hannah/Miley Cyrus so much, but Lily/Emily Osment, Jackson/Jason Earles, and Oliver/Mitchel Musso make the show so much better and fun ;D

Joan: "Wow. I always thought you'd hate me if I was a cheerleader."
Adam: "No way. Why?
Joan: "Because we're subdefectives and it'd be like deserting the army or something."
Adam: "Oh, no. I don't care if you're a cheerleader, subdefective, or whatever. I just like hanging out with you because.. you're Jane."

Oh yeah, I've heard of Jesus Christ Superstar. Never watched it though, just know that it can out in either the late 60's, early 70's, it's a musical and sort of has a hippy look to it all.
I also think a lot of conservatives and ultra-religious people didn't like it and I am sure boycotted it.

Released in 1973, directed by the great Norman Jewison from the stage musical by Tim Rice & Andrew Lloyd Webber. BEST. MUSICAL. EVER. Can't wait to listen to the commentary by Jewison and star, Ted Neely (most beautiful onscreen Christ ever).
