Re: Twilight (contains spoilers for all books and the movies)

I just came back from the theater, having watched Eclipse. I really liked this one. You know, apart from the fact that it has way too much Robert Pattinson in it. wink I thought overall they did a really good job with this one, be it the story or the special effects. I think what I liked most was that this movie focuses a little more on the supporting characters (as opposed to the whole Bella/Edward/Jacob triangle). Among my favorite scenes were the one where Bella gets to talk to Rosalie and even more so the one where Jasper tells Bella about his experience with the newborns.

Mike Welch's role in this one was minute, though. I think we saw him only three times, and his lines aren't even worth mentioning. But that's okay, he doesn't play a big role in the book either, at least not that I can recall. I didn't mind the new Victoria too much. I thought she looked very similar to the old one, but in comparison I also prefer Rachelle Lefevre.

The people in the theater were very well behaved today. It was only maybe 20 people to start with. No cheering or giggling teenie girls this time. Thank goodness!

Oh, and I'm convinced that in some scenes, Taylor Lautner's abs were supported by make-up, if not mainly for the fact that sometimes they were very prominent and in other scenes they weren't, even though the light seemed similar. Fakers! tongue

Michael Sheen was at Comic Con to promote Tron Legacy.  He looks great with a beard.  Wish I could find a better pic, but you can get the idea here...

Who's "someone"? A fan on IMDb? You know that no one's gonna give an inkling about the drivel posted on IMDb, right? Or was it someone more official who people might actually listen to?

LOL That'd be great if I could afford it.
Actually I wanted to make me a shirt myself that says "Dear Dr. Cullen, please cure my Sexual Sturge Weber Syndrome" but since I'm very short on money right now I don't think that's going to happen. neutral

Re: Twilight (contains spoilers for all books and the movies)

I thought "Eclipse" was great, too.  And that surprised me, since it wasn't my favorite of the books.  It was good, but I didn't like dragging the whole Victoria thing out over three novels/movies.

As far as Michael Welch's part was concerned, I think that's probably gonna be the case with the last 2 movies, too.  Since the Forks class of 2010 has graduated, I think Bella's high school friends will be a around a lot less.  They'll probably make a fleeting appearance at the wedding and that'll be that.  I noticed that "Eclipse" changed who the class valedictorian was, no doubt due to Anna Kendrick's recent success in "Up in the Air".

Saw this today:  http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/marc_ma … topstories
That is so, so wrong.  But it did make me giggle.

Re: Twilight (contains spoilers for all books and the movies)

Cool! I read something about this on his Twitter account a few days ago.

On a sad note, Peter Facinelli had to cancel his RingCon appereance two days ago. I was devastated. I painted a Carlisle portrait for him and I was sooo excited to get to meet him - oh well. Wasn't supposed to happen, I guess. sad Tina, I planned to get an autograph for your birthday. It was supposed to be kind of a surprise for you, but since it won't happen now ... sorry.

Yeah, I already heard about PFac cancelling RingCon. Too bad. I was actually planning to ask Diane or Heidi to get me a signed picture of Coop with his "I grab boobs" cardboard cutout, but I guess it just wasn't meant to be. Thanks, though. I'm sure your autograph would have made my day. sad

Re: Twilight (contains spoilers for all books and the movies)

Well, I guess there's no need to make my "Dear Carlisle, please cure my Sexual Sturge Weber Syndrome" shirt now, though I am thinking about wearing it anyway. I have to see if I have time to make it.
Of course they say they're going to try to bring him next year instead but it's not really comforting if you don't know where you'll be next year. I bought my Golden Pass in November and now that the three people I was most looking forward to have cancelled, I don't think I need it anymore. Oh well, that's life, I guess ....
And the good thing about this is that I'll be paying less money for photoshoots.

Re: Twilight (contains spoilers for all books and the movies)

I've watched the first few episodes of a new show, Rizzoli & Isles tonight, and Billy Burke guest starred in the first episode (sans beard). I think next to Carlisle, he's probably my favorite character from the movies. I liked him on R&I too, even though he played kind of a jerk at first. Funnily enough, Donnie Wahlberg guest starred on the next two episodes. Kinda took me back to the In Plain Sight episode with Sean. I hoped they'd make him a regular on the show, but it looks like he's not coming back.

Anne, don't you like Jackson Rathbone?  He's making a guest appearance in tonight's ep of the new show, No Ordinary Family.

Does anyone know why "All I Believe In" by The Magic Numbers was omitted from the "New Moon" soundtrack?  I thought it was one of the best songs in the movie, and was thinking about buying the soundtrack mainly for that one song.  I'm bummed!

I don't know why they didn't put it on the soundtrack, but I just found it on Youtube. wink

Yeah, I've got in on my YouTube playlist.  But it's so stupid not to include it on the soundtrack.  Especially since Weitz said on the movie commentary that it would be!

To be honest, I haven't even watched to commentary yet. LOL I was too disappointed that there would be no Kristen/Rob/Taylor commentary. That was the part of the extras I was looking forward to the most ... they did a lot of mistakes with the New Moon DVD, if you ask me .... sad

Re: Twilight (contains spoilers for all books and the movies)

Totally agree!  Having exclusives extras that were only available as "exclusives" for certain retailers was ridiculous, too.  And now the "Eclipse" DVD will have the Stewart/Pattinson commentary, which is great.  It will also include one with Stephenie Meyer and the producer.  But this time there won't be a director commentary. roll  How can you not have a director's commentory?
