Oh, don't get me started on this "exclusive" stuff! I hated that "several retailer's versions" stuff! I'm actually glad they won't do that with the Eclipse one, but this time they're having "exclusive" stuff only for BluRay, which also sucks for me because I don't have a BluRay player and since I hate German Twistuff I'll only buy American Twilight DVDs but you can't play American BluRays on German BluRay Players and THAT SUCKS ASS!!! :angry:
I want to see all the extras, too! That is so unfair, I kind of wish they never came up with that BluRay idea. DVDs are good enough.

WELCOME TO THE RILEYS
I'm going to come right out and admit that I'm not exactly sure what the point of director Jake Scott's second feature (after 1999's PLUNKETT & MACLEANE, with a slew of great music videos in between the two films), but that didn't stop me from being drawn into its oddly touching story of the uneasy relationship between a middle-aged man and a teen stripper/prostitute he befriends and tries to save. In WELCOME TO THE RILEYS, James Gandolfini plays Doug Riley, a man whose life has lost it's light since the accidental death of his teen daughter in a car crash. His wife, Lois (the great Melissa Leo), has been afraid to leave their suburban home since the loss, so when Doug goes on a business trip to New Orleans, she must ask her irritated sister (Ally Sheedy, in a nice cameo) to come pick up her mail.
While in New Orleans, Doug attempts to escape the housewares convention he's attending by going into a strip club, where he meets Mallory (Kristen Stewart), a stripper who talks him into a private-room dance which in turn becomes a solicitation. But Doug is more interested in hiding out and less in the bump and grind or sexual come ons. For some reason, Mallory's brash manner and sexual inhibitions make him curious about her living situation and whether she is beyond saving. It doesn't take genius or a psychiatrist to see that some part of Mallory reminds Doug of his dead daughter, and before long he is sleeping on her couch, helping her fix up her rented home, and trying to train her to be a bit more self sufficient and hopefully quit hooking.
Naturally, his half-baked plan hits some bumps, the first being that his abandoned wife decides that Doug's single phone call explained that he was staying away from home for a while wasn't sufficient enough an explanation for his absence. She manages to drag herself out of the house and drive down to New Orleans from Missouri. Her perilous journey serves as a sweet and humorous sideplot that Leo sells to perfection. Not every actress could make this work, but she's not every actress.
WELCOME TO THE RILEYS is weirdly gripping, often go-for-broke emotionally heavy, and beautifully acted. I have to admit, I didn't think think Stewart really had it in her to surprise me, but as the foul-mouthed Mallory, she reminds me that there was a time when she was a strong actor and not just an accidental cultural icon. Not surprisingly, Lois isn't thrilled with Doug and Mallory's arrangement, but once she signs on, the couple becomes Mallory de facto parents for a while, and things begin to gel. RILEYS did not end the way I thought it would, but it does end the way it should, and that's a very good thing. I was strangely charmed and pulled into this film, and if you like your dramas a little on the bizarre and slightly inappropriate side, look no further.

Guess what, Chris Weitz joined Twitter a few days ago and is doing Q&A sessions with fans and I took the opportunity to ask him why the song wasn't on the soundtrack and after three days of asking(!) he finally answered it just a few minutes ago!

Yeah, I saw them a few days ago on some Twilight fansite. But somehow I am currently totally NOT in the mood for anything Breaking Dawn. The waiting has probably been too long for now. Let's see what it's going to be like when October's coming closer.

First Trailer will be out in about a month, I think at the MTV Movie Awards or some other award show. I read all about it, but I don't remember right now.
I saw Water For Elephants for the second time today! I love Twilight, but when it comes to Pattinson I'm beginning to like his non-Twilight stuff even more than the whole Twilight universe! You can finally see what a good actor he actually is. Not that I think he's bad in Twilight - it's just that the Twilight-bashing gets annoying and when I tell people to go and see some of his other stuff they tell me in return they won't do it. Well, then it's their loss!

It is their loss. I don't think any of the Twilight stuff I've seen so far has been bad. I think he's very good in everything I've seen, and he seems like a decent guy. What's not to like? What's not to like about Kristen? She's real. I like that. I hope she gets past all this superstardom unscathed and has a long and fascinating career. She could do a lot worse than seeking the counsel of Jodie Foster on that subject. Jodie loves her and I hope they stay in touch.

Is it just me, or does the new Breaking Dawn teaser trailer that they introduced at the MTV Video Awards make it look like Jacob has a Hitler-style mustache? Very weird looking!

Well, I still love Twilight but I didn't freak out about the trailer. I never really did.

I just hope they'll keep the wedding dress secret until the movie comes out. I don't want to see it before I see it on big screen.

So I guess I am not a Twihard then, am I? LOL I mean, of course it's great to see a first trailer finally but please, it's that THAT exciting. At least it wasn't for me. I am getting in Twilight mood slowly again, but it's not like I am, like, gushing and squeeing over that one minute or how long the trailer is.
